【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환) 평생교육원은 2일 오후 7시 믿음관 203호에서 포항시 지원 ‘2025년 대학 연계 평생교육 활성화 지원사업’의 일환으로 드론교육지도사 1급 및 드론국가자격증 4종 취득 과정 개강식을 열었다.

이번 프로그램은 드론 산업의 전문화·고도화 추세에 맞춰 지역민들에게 취업 경쟁력을 강화하고 전문 인재를 양성하기 위해 마련됐다. 교육은 9월부터 10월까지 2개월간 진행되며, 드론 구조와 비행 원리, 조종 기술 등 이론과 실습을 병행한다.

전경국 선린대 평생교육원장은 “드론은 물류·국방·환경 등 미래 AI 산업의 핵심 분야로 자리 잡고 있다”며, “이번 교육은 단순한 기술 습득을 넘어 지도 역량까지 함양하도록 구성된 만큼, 수강생들이 자격증 취득을 통해 전문가로 성장하는 발판이 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.

선린대학교는 전문 드론 교육장을 갖추고 있으며, 이번 과정을 시작으로 포항시 및 지역 산업과 연계한 실무형 교육을 지속적으로 운영할 계획이다. 아울러 노년층의 디지털 격차 해소를 위한 스마트폰 활용 교육, 바리스타 2급 자격증 과정 등 다양한 평생교육 프로그램도 개설할 예정이다.

Sunlin University Lifelong Education Center Opens Drone Certification Course

On September 2nd at 7:00 PM, Sunlin University (President Kwak Jin-hwan) Lifelong Education Center held an opening ceremony for the Level 1 Drone Education Instructor and Type 4 National Drone Certification courses in Room 203 of the Faith Building as part of the Pohang City-sponsored "2025 University-Linked Lifelong Education Activation Support Project."

This program was designed to enhance the employment competitiveness of local residents and cultivate specialized talent in line with the growing specialization and sophistication of the drone industry. The two-month program, from September to October, combines theory and practice in drone structure, flight principles, and piloting techniques.

Jeon Gyeong-guk, Director of Sunlin University's Lifelong Education Center, stated, "Drones are becoming a key area in future AI industries such as logistics, national defense, and the environment. This program goes beyond simple technical acquisition to cultivate leadership skills. We hope this program will serve as a stepping stone for students to grow into professionals through certification."

Seonlin University has a specialized drone training center and, starting with this course, plans to continue offering practical training in collaboration with Pohang City and local industries. Furthermore, it plans to offer a variety of lifelong learning programs, including smartphone training to bridge the digital divide among seniors and a Level 2 barista certification course.
