25일 군에 따르면 12개 종목에 289명이 참가해 갈고 닦은 기량을 유감없이 발휘했으며 특히, 태권도 9연패, 소프트테니스가 매년 좋은 성적을 거두었다.

이규현 체육회장은 “경기에 최선을 다한 선수단과 대회준비에 만전을 기해 준 지도자와 종목별 연맹단체, 그리고 아낌없은 지원을 해주신 학교 관계자, 체육회 임직원분들게 감사한다”고 말했다.

이병환 성주군수는 “최선을 다해준 선수들의 노력과 땀이 결실을 맺어 기쁘게 생각한다”며, “선수들이 보여준 투지와 열정으로 우리 군의 위상을 드높여준 것에 깊이 감사한다”고 전했다.

한편 성주군은 향후 이번 대회의 경기결과를 종목별로 면밀히 분석하고 전략을 수립하여 내년 구미에서 개최되는 제62회 경북도민체전에 더 큰 목표을 가지고 도전할 계획이다.
