지난 12월 초순 ~ 1월 중순 사이 정식한 우곡 수박은 친환경 농산물로 소비자들의 입맛을사로잡으면서 지역 농가의 고소득원으로 자리잡고 있다

금년도 우곡면 수박 총재배 면적은 100ha로 이번 첫 출하를 시작으로 5월 말까지 출하될 것으로 예상된다.

정원청 우곡면장은 “우곡 수박은 청정 지역의 옥토에서 재배되기 때문에 맛이 좋다”며 “농민들이 안정적으로 재배하고 판로를 확보할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지않으며 소비자들에게 고품질 우곡수박을 공급하기 위해 품질관리에 더욱 철저를 기하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
