또한 정 의원은 “검증되지도 않은 어디서 주워들은 지라시 수준의 이야기를 천박하고 무책임하게 내뱉은 김준혁 후보는 과연 대한민국이 국민이 맞는지 되묻고 싶다”고 꼬집었다.
그러면서 “우리 국군과 호국 영령을 모독하는 망언을 거침없이 쏟아낸 김준혁 후보에게 나라와 민족을 위한 올바른 정치를 기대할 수 있겠는가”라고 반문했다.
정희용 의원은 “피로써 다부동과 낙동강 전선을 지켜낸 우리 국군과 호국 영령을 모독한 김준혁 후보를 강력히 규탄한다”며 “당장 국민 앞에 사과하고 후보직에서 스스로 물러나는 것만이 그릇된 역사 인식으로 국군과 호국 영령을 모독한 것에 대해 조금이라도 속죄할 수 있는 유일한 길”이라고 강조했다.
한편 김준혁 후보는 이밖에도 ‘이대생의 미군 성상납’, ‘박정희 전 대통령의 위안부·초등생 성관계 가능성’, ‘유치원의 뿌리는 친일의 역사에서 시작’등의 발언으로 자질 논란이 일었다.
