3일 정희용 의원이 농협중앙회로부터 제출받은 ‘최근 5년여간(2019~2024.8) 농·축협 금융사고 현황’ 분석 결과에 따르면 금융사고 건수는 280건, 사고액은 1,119억 원에 달하는 것으로 나타났다.

그러나 회수율(사고금액에 대한 회수 비율)은 약 17% 수준인 188억 원에 불과했다.

지역별 금융사고액은 경상북도 312억 원, 경기도 272억 원, 충청남도 188억 원, 전라남도 68억 원, 광주시 57억 원, 서울특별시 51억 원, 경상남도 50억 원 등의 순으로 나타났다.

대전시와 부산시의 금융사고에 따른 회수율은 100%로 전액 회수가 이뤄졌다. 하지만 충청남도는 회수율 1%, 대구시는 0%를 기록해 지역별로 큰 편차를 보였다.

정희용 의원은 “최근 5년 여간 농·축협 금융사고가 매년 발생하고 피해액도 1,119억원에 달해 재발 방지 방안이 시급하다”며 “농협중앙회는 현재 17% 수준에 불과한 금융사고액 회수율을 높이고, 횡령 사고 시 관련자에 대한 엄중 징계 조치 및 변상 책임을 강화해야 한다”라고 밝혔다.

아울러 “최근 금융, 횡령사고 수법 등을 감안해 사고예방 조치 실효성 제고를 위한 세부기준을 마련하고, 금융사고 차단을 위한 종합적인 사고근절 대책을 추진해야 할 것”이라고 말했다.

The recovery rate for financial accidents in Daejeon and Busan was 100%, meaning that the entire amount was recovered. However, Chungcheongnam-do recorded a recovery rate of 1%, and Daegu recorded a recovery rate of 0%, showing a large difference by region.

Assemblyman Jeong Hee-yong said, “For the past five years, agricultural and livestock cooperative financial accidents have occurred every year, and the amount of damage has reached 111.9 billion won, so measures to prevent recurrence are urgent,” and “The National Agricultural Cooperative Federation should increase the recovery rate for financial accidents, which is currently at a mere 17%, and strengthen strict disciplinary measures and compensation responsibilities for those involved in embezzlement accidents.”

He also said, “Considering recent financial and embezzlement accident methods, we should establish detailed standards to enhance the effectiveness of accident prevention measures, and promote comprehensive accident eradication measures to block financial accidents.”
