지난 25일 오전 10시, 국민의힘 고령군·성주군·칠곡군 당원협의회가 운영위원장 선출을 위한 운영위원회를 열어 정희용 의원을 당원협의회 운영위원장에 추대했다.

정희용 의원은 4.10 총선에 역할을 해준 운영위원들에게 감사를 표하며, 22대 국회 시작을 앞두고 재선 국회의원으로서 여소야대 정국에 임하는 자세, 대구·경북 통합 등 지역 현안에 대한 생각을 운영위원들과 함께 공유했다. 

이어 회의에 참석한 운영위원들과 함께 칠곡군 왜관읍 거리에 나가 환경정화 봉사활동을 펼치며 지역 주민들과 소통의 시간을 가졌다.

정희용 의원은 “정치는 봉사라는 생각으로 지난 4년간 고령군·성주군·칠곡군의 당원들과 꾸준히 봉사활동을 실시해왔다”며 “앞으로도 성실하고 모범적인 지역구 활동으로 삶의 현장 곳곳에서 주민분들을 찾아뵙겠다”고 말했다.
