군은 이 기간 동안 농업기술센터에서는 관내 사과, 배 과원을 대상으로 상시 예찰을 실시하고 전염원이 발견되면 즉시 사전 제거할 예정이다.

또한 과수화상병 예방 실천사항 교육 및 개정된 과수화상병 예찰·방제 지침 홍보를 통해 화상병 차단에 총력을 기울이고 있다.

특히 이번에 개정된 과수화상병 예찰·방제 지침에 따라 농업인 및 농작업자의 예방 교육 이수가 의무화됐다.

교육을 받지 않거나 예방수칙을 위반할 경우 손실보상금이 감액되며 ‘발생 미신고(60%)’,‘교육 미이수(20%)’, ‘예방 약제 미살포(10%)’등의 감액기준을 따른다.

과수화상병균은 겨울철 궤양부위에서 월동하며, 봄철이 되면 궤양부위로부터 병원균이 전파될 수 있다. 과수화상병은 확산 속도가 빠르고 치료약제가 없어서 막대한 피해를 줄 수 있는 만큼 궤양 제거를 철저히 하는 것이 중요하다.

오도창 영양군수는 ‘영양군이 과수화상병 청정지역을 유지할 수 있도록 사전 예찰 및 예방 수칙을 준수하여 과수화상병 차단에 만전을 기해줄 것’을부탁했다.
