【브레이크뉴스 영양】이성현 기자=영양군(군수 오도창)은 3월 25일 오후 6시경 석보면 답곡리 답곡터널 인근에서 발생한 산불 진압을 위해 모든 자원을 동원해 총력을 기울이고 있다고 27일 밝혔다.

군에 따르면 이 산불은 현재까지 계속되고 있으며, 영양군은 완전 진화를 목표로 산불 진화 작업을 이어가고 있다.

오도창 영양군수는 3월 27일을 산불 진화 완진의 날로 정하고, 전 직원 총동원령을 내렸다. 

이날 오전 5시 30분부터는 영양군 공무원 380명과 산불 진화대원 150명, 의용소방대 및 소방공무원, 농협, 산림조합, 자율방재단 등 민간단체 58명, 그리고 영덕 국유림관리소, 영주시 산불 진화대와 군인 등 모든 동원 가능한 인력 580여 명이 산불 진화에 참여하고 있다.

영양군은 입암면 산해리, 노달리, 석보면 옥계리, 주남리, 삼의리 등 위험지역을 중심으로 소방헬기와 진화인력을 투입해 효과적으로 불길을 잡고 피해를 최소화할 계획이다. 

오도창 군수는 현장을 직접 지휘하며 “군민들의 생명과 재산을 지키기 위해 최선을 다하고 있다”고 전하며, “모두가 산불과 싸우고 있는 만큼, 군민들은 비상 시 마을방송과 긴급재난문자에 귀 기울여 달라”고 당부했다.

한편 3월 25일 발생한 산불로 인해 현재까지 영양군에서 1,765명이 대피했으며, 안타깝게도 6명이 사망(남 1명, 여 5명), 1명이 부상(남 1명)당했다. 또한, 산림 피해 면적은 3,515헥타르에 달하는 것으로 확인됐다(3월 27일 오전 8시 기준).

영양군은 모든 인력을 동원해 산불 진화 작업을 계속하며, 주민들의 안전을 최우선으로 두고 적극적인 대응을 이어가고 있다.
