【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구에서 역대 최악의 산불로 피해를 입은 경북을 위한 온정의 손길이 이어지고 있다. 

대구 북구는 자매도시 의성과 영양군에 피해 주민 생계 지원 및 주거 환경 개선을 위한 성금을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

지난 25일부터 4일간 북구청 전 직원이 자발적으로 참여해 모은 1,050만원은 사회복지공동모금회를 통해 의성군과 영양군의 산불 피해복구 등에 사용될 예정이다. 또한 ‘고향사랑기부제’를 통해 현재까지 약 2,500만원을 기부하기도 했다.

 배광식 북구청장은 “자매도시인 의성군과 영양군이 대형 산불로 큰 피해를 입은 만큼, 직원들의 자발적인 참여로 모금한 성금이 피해 복구와 주민들의 생활 안정에 조금이나마 보탬이 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.  

대구 동구도 자매도시 영덕군·청송군 주민들을 위해 힘을 보탰다.

동구는 지난 24일부터 시작해 4일간 모은 긴급구호성금 총 2천300만원을 기부했다.

정의관 동구 부구청장은 “자매도시인 영덕·청송 주민들의 피해 소식에 가슴이 아프다. 이번 성금이 피해 복구에 조금이나마 위안이 되길 바란다. 앞으로도 물적, 인적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”고 말했다.

Daegu Dong-gu also helped the residents of sister cities, Yeongdeok and Cheongsong.

Dong-gu donated a total of 23 million won in emergency relief funds collected over four days starting on the 24th.

Dong-gu Deputy Mayor Jeong Ui-gwan said, “I am heartbroken by the news of damage to the residents of Yeongdeok and Cheongsong, our sister cities. I hope this donation will provide some comfort in the recovery from the damage. We will not spare any material or human support in the future.”
