【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구보건소가  ‘2025년 지역사회 구강보건사업 성과대회’에서 보건복지부 장관상을 수상했다고 2일 밝혔다.

지난달 26일 서울 피스앤파크 컨벤션에서 ‘2025년 지역사회 구강보건사업 성과대회’가 열렸다.

북구는 주민 구강건강 향상에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 대구에서 유일하게 보건복지부 장관상을 받았다.

이번 성과대회는 ‘2024년 구강보건사업 세부·시행계획 결과 평가’를 바탕으로 전국 25개 우수 지자체를 선정해 공로를 표창하는 자리였다. 

북구보건소는 생활터 중심의 생애주기별 맞춤형 구강보건 교육을 꾸준히 실시하며 주민들의 구강건강 인식 개선에 힘써왔다.

특히 지역 생활지원사들을 노인 구강건강 리더로 양성하고, 이들이 직접 가정을 방문해 구강보건교육을 시행하도록 한 점이 높게 평가됐다. 이를 통해 취약계층 노인의 구강보건 접근성을 크게 높였다는 설명이다.

배광식 북구청장은 “앞으로도 주민들의 구강건강 증진을 위해 지역 특성과 수요를 반영한 다양한 프로그램과 서비스를 제공하겠다”고 말했다.

The Daegu Buk-gu Public Health Center announced on the 2nd that it had received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award at the "2025 Community Oral Health Project Achievement Awards."

The "2025 Community Oral Health Project Achievement Awards" was held on the 26th of last month at the Peace & Park Convention in Seoul.

Buk-gu was the only district in Daegu to receive the Minister of Health and Welfare Award in recognition of its contributions to improving the oral health of its residents.

This awards ceremony recognized 25 outstanding local governments nationwide based on the "2024 Oral Health Project Detailed and Implementation Plan Results Evaluation."

The Buk-gu Public Health Center has consistently provided customized oral health education tailored to each stage of life, focusing on the community, and has strived to improve oral health awareness among residents.

In particular, the center was highly praised for training local life support workers as leaders in elderly oral health and having them personally visit homes to provide oral health education. This initiative has significantly improved access to oral health care for vulnerable elderly individuals.

Buk-gu Mayor Bae Gwang-sik said, “We will continue to provide various programs and services that reflect the characteristics and needs of the region to promote the oral health of residents.”
