지난 16일 오후 3시, 대구시당 3층 회의실에서는 경제정책위원회 임명장 수여식이 열렸다. 이 자리에는 이인선 대구시당위원장과 전경원·김태우·박종필 대구시의원, 하태균 대변인 등 주요 당직자와 관계자들이 참석해 위원회 공식 출범을 알렸다.

경제정책위원회는 앞으로 대구 산업 경쟁력 강화, 소상공인과 자영업자 지원, 청년 일자리 창출, 미래 성장산업 육성 등 지역 경제의 다양한 과제를 다룰 예정이다. 대구시당 측은 최근 지역 경제가 어려워지는 상황을 맞아, 선제적으로 정책을 마련하고 대응하기 위해 위원회 운영에 나섰다고 설명했다.

이날 행사에서는 새롭게 위촉된 위원들에게 임명장이 전달됐다. 위원회 운영 방향을 두고도 다양한 논의가 이어졌다. 앞으로 위원회는 정책 연구, 현장 실태 조사, 정책 제안, 관련 법·제도 개선 권고 역할을 맡는다. 또한 당과 지자체, 그리고 산업계를 연결하는 정책 창구로서의 역할도 수행할 계획이다.

이번 경제정책위원회 구성에는 다양한 지역 인사가 참여했다. 위원장은 강철준 태양산업 전무가, 상임고문은 구진모 동안이앤씨 회장이 맡았다. 이정훈 케이와이 대표가 수석부위원장, 손인호 손건축사 대표, 김상기 오넥스트 대표, 이경용 로고팰리스디자인 대표가 부위원장을 맡는다. 사무총장은 홍홍주 에스겔기업경영컨설팅 대표가 책임진다.
