【브레이크뉴스 】박은정 기자=달성군 옥포읍 작목반(반장 윤종태 옥포수박작목반장)이 31일 옥포~논공구간 9~12농로에 수년간 방치된 영농폐기물을 대대적으로 정비했다고 밝혔다.
옥포 교항리 ~ 논공 금포리까지 이어진 9~12농로는 수년간 방치되었던 영농폐기물로 인해 주변환경이 오염되고 불법투기 취약지로 전락하며 농로도 협소해져 교통사고가 빈번하게 발생하는 지역이었다.
이에 수박, 참외, 연합채소, 토마토 작목반으로 구성된 옥포읍 4개작목반은 자체 예산(1,000만원)을 들여 반원들이 스스로 기존의 협소했던 농로를 깨끗하게 정비했다.
이날 정비작업은 작목반원 50여명이 참여하였으며 수거된 폐부직포, 폐비닐, 폐타이어 등 각종 영농폐기물의 양은 무려 50톤에 달한것으로 알려진다.
작목반은 향후 CCTV를 설치하고 작목반원들이 담당구역을 정해 수시로 순찰하는 등 지속적으로 정비할 계획이다.
김문오 달성군수는 “작목반에서 스스로 농로를 정비했다는 것에 놀랍다. 성숙된 주인의식이 돋보인다.”며 작목반원들의 노력이 타 지자체에 귀감이 됨을 치켜세우며“앞으로도 지속적으로 농로를 깨끗하게 유지하길 바란다.”고 당부했다.
