【브레이크뉴스 예천】이성현 기자=예천군은 도쿄올림픽 2관왕이자 ‘고교신궁’으로 불리는 경북일고 김제덕 선수가 내년부터 3년간 계약으로 예천군청 양궁선수단에 입단했다고 28일 밝혔다.

김제덕 선수의 입단식은 지난 27일 군수실에서 김학동 군수, 최병욱 군의장, 변형우경북양궁협회장, 이철우 예천군체육회장, 문형철 감독이 참석한 가운데진행됐다.

김제덕 선수는지난해 도쿄올림픽에서 남자단체전과 혼성단체전에서 2관왕과 양크턴세계양궁선수권에서 남자단체전 금메달을 목에 건 명실상부 세계 최고남자 궁사이며 도쿄올림픽 당시 17세 3개월로 한국 남자 양궁 역대 최연소 올림픽 금메달 획득이라는 새로운 역사를 쓰기도 했다.

특히, 초등학교 시절부터 일찌감치 양궁 신동으로 주목받으며 SBS‘영재발굴단’에 출연하는 등 천부적인 감각과 남다른 승부 근성, 흔들림없는 멘탈까지 갖춘 대형 유망주로 기대를 모으고 있는 선수다.
