【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 한울원자력본부(본부장 박범수, 이하 한울본부)는 지난 6일 한국원자력마이스터고등학교(교장 송만영) 졸업식에 참석해 우수졸업생에게‘한울본부 지역인재상’ 표창장과 장학금을 전달했다고 9일 밝혔다.

‘한울본부 지역인재상’장학금 전달 사업은 2012년도‘원전 주변 모범 학생 표창 수여’로 시작한 이후 수혜 대상을 울진군 전체 초·중·고 졸업생으로 확대하며 학생들의 학습 의욕 고취 및 지역 인재 육성에 기여하고 있다.

현재까지 한울본부는 학교장의 추천을 받아 학업성적이 우수하고 품행이 바른 울진군 소재 학교 졸업생 348명을 선정하여 표장장과 장학금 1억 1천4백만 원을 수여하였으며, 올해는 학교당 선발인원을 확대하여 울진군 졸업생 54명에게 2천320만 원을 2월 10일까지 전달할 계획이다.

송만영 교장은“한울본부가 보여주는 지역 인재에 대한 지속적인 관심에 감사하며, 졸업생이 지역사회에 기여할 수 있는 인재로 성장하는데 도움이 될 것”이라고 감사 인사를 전했다.

박범수 본부장은 “학생들의 졸업을 진심으로 축하하며, 눈부시게 빛날 새로운 시작을 응원한다”라고 격려했다.

한울본부는 ‘체육특기생 장학금 지원 사업’ 시행 등 다방면으로 지역 인재를 후원하고 양성할 수 있도록 최선을 다할 것이다.
