대학에 따르면 지난 1일, 대구보건대 본관 멀티미디어실에서 교직원 친목회 임원을 비롯한 박희옥 학생취업처장, 장학금 수여 학생과 학과장 등 20여명이 참석한 가운데 장학금 수여식이 개최되었다.

이날 장학금은 임상병리학과 2학년 이규강 학생 등 7명의 학생들에게 각 50만원씩 총 350만원이 전달되었다.

교직원 친목회는 2002년부터 장학기금 운영위원회를 결성하고 매년 급여의 일정 금액을 모은 회비로 지금까지 총 224명의 학생들에게 장학금 1억 5040만원을 전달한 것으로 알려진다.

이현주 교직원 친목회 부회장(뷰티코디네이션학과 교수)은 “교직원들의 따뜻한 마음이 학생들에게 잘 전달됐기를 바란다.”며 “앞으로도 많은 학생들이 학업에 매진할 수 있도록 교직원 모두가 힘을 모으겠다.”고 말했다.
