계명대학교 박사과정 대학원생인 김상원 학생 (컴퓨터공학과, 지도교수 고병철)이 3․1문화재단의 장학생으로 선발되어 등록금 전액을 지원받는다.

장학생으로 선발된 김상원 학생은 현재 계명대 박사과정 2학기에 재학 중으로 2학기동안 총 5편의 SCI급논문(주저자 4편)을 게재했다.
또한 국제저널뿐만 아니라 국제유명 컨퍼런스인 CVPR2019, NeurlPS2020 워크숍에서도 논문을 발표하고, 2020년 전자공학회 학술대회에서는 최우수논문상(상금 300만원)을 수여받았다.
꾸준히 우수한 성과를 낸 김상원 학생은 3․1문화재단 장학생 뿐만 아니라 한국연구재단에서 지원하는 ‘2021 이공분야 학술연구지원사업의 박사과정생 연구장려금 지원 부문’에도 선정되어 향후 2년간 매년 2천만원의 연구비를 지원받는다.
김상원 학생은 계명대학교 컴퓨터공학과 재학 중 미국 퀄컴인스티튜트에서 2017년 9월부터 2018년 4월까지 인턴으로 근무했으며, 컴퓨터공학과 학부 차석 졸업, 본 대학원 석사를 졸업하였다. 김상원 학생은 현재 계명대학교 인공지능융합 연구소의 연구조교를 겸하면서 실현가능하고 설명가능한 인공지능 기술 개발에 주력하여 연구를 진행하고 있다.

Keimyung University Ph.D. graduate student Sang-Won Kim (Department of Computer Engineering, Advisor Byeong-Chul Koh) is selected as a scholarship student of the March 1st Cultural Foundation and receives full tuition support.
Sangwon Kim, who was selected as a scholarship student, is currently enrolled in the second semester of the Keimyung University doctoral program, and has published a total of 5 SCI-level theses (four lead authors) during the second semester.
He also presented papers in international journals as well as internationally renowned conferences, CVPR2019, NeurlPS2020 workshop, and was awarded the Best Paper Award (3 million won in prize money) at the 2020 Electronic Engineering Conference.

Sangwon Kim worked as an intern at Qualcomm Institute in the United States from September 2017 to April 2018 while attending Keimyung University's Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Student Sangwon Kim is currently working as a research assistant at Keimyung University's Artificial Intelligence Convergence Research Institute, focusing on the development of feasible and explainable artificial intelligence technology.
