【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=계명대학교 동산병원(병원장 류영욱)이 ‘고난도 심장전기생리 교육(Advanced electrophysiology training: APT, 이하 APT) 과정’을 시행했다고 10일 밝혔다.
지난 6일 동산병원 심혈관조영실에서 서울, 대전 등 전국 5개 의료기관의 심장 전문의들이 참여한 가운데 고난도 부정맥의 진단과 치료를 위한 3차원 진단 기구의 효과적인 이용방법에 대한 교육이 진행됐다.
계명대학교 동산병원 부정맥팀은 1992년 지역 최초로 도자절제술을 시행한 이후 지난해인 2023년 도자절제술 6,000례(심방세동 2,000례)를 달성했다.
현재까지 전국 5위권의 부정맥 시술건수를 기록하는 등 부정맥 분야에서 탁월한 성과를 보이고 있으며 지난 2015년부터는 국내외 심장 전문의 및 관련 의료인에게 기술력을 전수하고 있다.
교육을 주관한 심장내과 박형섭 교수(계명대 동산병원 진료협력센터장)는 “부정맥 질환은 여러 심장질환 중 가장 급격히 증가하고 있는 질환으로, 최근에는 10~20대에서 많이 증가하고 있다”며 “부정맥이 의심되면 즉시 병원을 찾아 적극적으로 치료해야 합병증을 예방하고 삶의 질을 개선시킬 수 있다”고 설명했다.

Professor Park Hyung-seop of the Department of Cardiology (Director of the Clinical Cooperation Center at Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital), who hosted the training, explained, “Arrhythmia is the disease with the most rapid increase among various heart diseases, and recently, it has been increasing significantly among people in their 10s and 20s.” He continued, “If arrhythmia is suspected, you should immediately visit a hospital and receive active treatment to prevent complications and improve your quality of life.”
