【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=계명대학교 동산병원 암치유센터(센터장 도영록)는 화학요법주사실을 확장하고 개소식을 진행했다고 21일 밝혔다.

암치유센터 화학요법주사실은 지난 9월부터 11월까지 리모델링 공사를 마치고, 총 45병상을 확보해 운영을 시작했다.

기존 25병상에서 45병상으로 확대되어 암환자들이 더욱 쾌적한 환경에서 안전하게 치료받을 수 있게 되었으며 대기시간이 단축되어, 환자 만족도 향상과 암환자들의 빠른 회복에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

도영록 암치유센터장은 “화학요법주사실 확장으로 공간과 장비가 보충되어 서비스의 질이 향상될 것으로 예상된다. 앞으로도 다양한 환자중심 서비스를 바탕으로 암 치료에 최선을 다 하겠다”고 밝혔다.

계명대학교 동산병원 암치유센터는 ‘다학제 통합진료’를 비롯해, 환자진료 및 치료과정(수술, 항암치료, 방사선치료 등), 퇴원 후 일상생활부터 재활에 이르기까지 종합적인 관리를 도와주는 질환별 코디네이터와 암신환 상담간호사, 암전문교육간호사가 최상의 서비스를 제공하기 위해 노력하고 있다. 

또 외래 화학요법주사실을 운영하고 당일진료·당일검사를 위한 ‘당일 원스톱 진료 서비스’도 실시하고 있다.
