지난 15일부터 19일까지 우즈베스키탄 현지에서 열린 축제는 우즈베키스탄 예술 창작 연합 회원을 비롯 예술 교육 전문 교육 기관의 교사 및 학생들이 축제에 참여하고, 전국 거점도시마다 예술분야의 축제가 진행되는 국가적인 행사이다.

아제르바이잔, 키르기스스탄, 카자흐스탄, 투르크메니스탄, 튀르키예, 프랑스, 인도 등 많은 국가에서 예술가들이 참가한 이번 행사에 초청받은 계명대 학생들은 다양한 예술교류 활동을 펼치며 기량을 뽐냈다.

올해로 3년째 행사에 참가한 계명대는 주최 측의 요청에  따라 행사기간 중 하루를‘계명의 날’로 지정해‘제1회 계명국제미술실기대회’를 개최하기도 했다. 

우즈베키스탄 예술학원에서 진행된 계명의 날 개회식에는 누리디노프 아크말 바홉자노비치(Nuriddinov Akmal Vahobjanovich) 우즈베키스탄 예술학술원장, 미르조라히모프 압보스존 쇼드모노비치(Mirzorahimov Abbosjon Shodmonovich) 우즈베키스탄 국립에술디자인대학 총장, 국장현 주 우즈베키스탄 한국대사관 대사 대리, 아미르 사이이드 카라미(Amir Saeed Karami) 주 우즈베키스탄 이란대사관 문화참사관 등이 참석해 축하를 전했다.

패션디자인학과 학생들이 준비한 패션쇼는 현지 언론을 통해 소개되는 등 큰 관심을 받기도 했다. 태권도 시범단은 축하공연으로 화려한 무예를 선보여 축제의 분위기를 한층 더 끌어올렸다.

제1회 계명국제미술실기대회는 총 상금 미화 5,300달러로 현지 고등학생과 대학생 등 전국에서 502점의 작품이 접수돼 큰 호응을 얻었다.

계명대 회화과 정재은 학생은 “우즈베키스탄 학생들과 이야기를 나누고 소통하며 국적과 생김새가 전부 달라도 미술을 사랑하는 마음이 통하는 것을 느낄 수 있었다”며, “축제에 참여한 우즈베키스탄 학생들의 아름답고 세밀한 공예품과 이국적인 회화 작품, 화려한 패션디자인은 저의 작품 세계에 또 다른 방향을 제시하며 큰 영감을 받았다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

김윤희 계명대 미술대학장은 “3년 연속으로 우즈베키스탄의 ‘국제 순수 및 응용미술 축제’에 참가하며 서로 다른 문화의 예술적 교류가 이루어지며, 학생들에게도 안목을 키워주는 좋은 시간이 되었다”며, “앞으로도 지속적인 교류를 이어가며 한국의 문화예술을 세계에 전파할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
