【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=계명대학교(총장 신일희)는 7월 7일부터 16일까지 10일간 한국국제교류재단(KF)의 지원으로 ‘KF 글로벌 e-스쿨 펠로십 프로그램’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 전 세계 6개국에서 한국어 전공 교수와 학생들이 참여해 계명대와 온라인으로 실시간 연계 수업을 진행하는 국제 교류 사업이다. 계명대는 수도권을 제외한 지역 대학 중 유일하게 ‘국내-해외 연계형(실시간형) 사업’에 선정되어, 폴란드 야기엘론스키대학교 등 8개국 10개 대학에 한국어교육학과 한국학 강좌를 제공하고 있다.

프로그램에는 우즈베키스탄 타슈켄트 국립동방대학교 한국어 전공 교수진과 지난해 글로벌 e-스쿨 수강생 중 선발된 6개국 한국어 전공 학생들이 참여한다. 이들은 한국어 수업뿐만 아니라 한국어학당 수업 참관, 교수법 특강, 한복·한국 음식·한국 대중문화 체험 등 다양한 실습을 통해 한국어 교수 및 학습 역량을 강화하게 된다.

우즈베키스탄 타슈켄트 국립동방대학교 아바소바 딜푸자 교수는 “계명대학교 박사 학위자로서 모교를 방문해 매우 영광이며, 계명대의 우수한 한국어교육 인프라를 다른 교수들과 함께 경험하게 되어 기쁘다”고 말했다.

김선정 계명대 국제부총장은 “계명대의 국제화 노력과 한국어교육 인프라가 KF 글로벌 e-스쿨 사업으로 이어졌다”며, “이번 펠로십 프로그램을 통해 세계적인 한국학 전공 네트워크가 더욱 탄탄해지길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 계명대는 2004년부터 매년 하계방학에 미국, 일본 등 해외 학생들을 위한 ‘한국어·한국문화 여름 캠프’를 운영해왔으며, 올해는 외국 대학 학생들이 전공 강의를 수강하고 학점을 취득할 수 있는 ‘제1회 계명국제하계대학’을 처음으로 개최하고 있다.

Keimyung University to Operate KF Global e-School Fellowship Program from July 7 to 16

Keimyung University (President Shin Il-hee) announced that it will operate the ‘KF Global e-School Fellowship Program’ for 10 days from July 7 to 16 with the support of the Korea Foundation (KF).

This program is an international exchange project in which professors and students majoring in Korean language from 6 countries around the world will participate in real-time online classes with Keimyung University. Keimyung University is the only university outside of the metropolitan area to be selected for the ‘Domestic-Overseas Linkage (Real-Time) Project’ and is currently providing Korean language education and Korean studies courses to 10 universities in 8 countries, including Jagiellonian University of Poland.

The program will involve professors majoring in Korean language at the Tashkent State University of Eastern Studies in Uzbekistan and students majoring in Korean language from 6 countries selected from last year’s Global e-School students. They will strengthen their Korean language teaching and learning capabilities through various practical training such as observing Korean language classes, special lectures on teaching methods, and experiencing hanbok, Korean food, and Korean popular culture in addition to Korean language classes.

Professor Abasova Dilpuja of the National University of Eastern Studies in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, said, “As a Ph.D. holder at Keimyung University, I am honored to visit my alma mater and am happy to experience Keimyung University’s excellent Korean language education infrastructure together with other professors.”

Vice President for International Affairs at Keimyung University Kim Seon-jeong said, “Keimyung University’s efforts to internationalize and its Korean language education infrastructure have led to the KF Global e-School project,” and added, “I hope that this fellowship program will further solidify the global network of Korean studies majors.”

Meanwhile, Keimyung University has been operating the ‘Korean Language and Culture Summer Camp’ for overseas students from the U.S., Japan, and other countries during the summer vacation every year since 2004, and this year, it is hosting the ‘1st Keimyung International Summer Camp’ for the first time, where students from foreign universities can take major classes and earn credits.
