삼성안과의원 이승현 원장(계명의대 2기)이 지난 14일 계명대학교 의과대학 발전기금 6억 원을 완납했다.

계명대학교 동산병원에 따르면 이승현 원장은 지난 2002년부터 20년 간 꾸준히 학생 장학금, 교수 연구비, 교육용 기자재 등을 지원해왔으며 삼성안과장학금 수혜 학생은 200명, 삼성안과연구비 수혜 연구과제는 40개에 이른다.

이승현 원장은 계명의대 졸업, 계명대 의학박사, 미국 샌디에이고 마이클 고든 비전 연구소, 미국 위스콘신주 딘스병원 안과센터 등에서 연수했으며 미국 시력교정학회 정회원, 미국 백내장학회 정회원 등으로 활동하며 제28회 보령의료봉사상 대상을 수상하기도 했다. 현재 삼성안과의원의 대표원장으로 의료 활동에 힘쓰고 있다.
