【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=계명대 동산병원은 류승완 교수(위장관외과)가 대한외과대사영양학회 신임 회장에 취임했다고 20일 밝혔다.
지난 16일 부산 벡스코에서 개최된 정기총회에서 신임 회장으로 취임한 류승완 교수는 2년간 임기를 맡아 회장직을 수행하게된다.
류승완 신임 회장은 계명의대 졸업(94), 미국UNC Nutrition Research Center에서 연수했으며, 계명대 동산의료원 대외협력처장, 경영전략부처장, 전산차장, 계명대 동산병원 암센터장, 위장관외과 분과장 등을 역임했다.
대외적으로는 대한내시경복강경위장관연구회 상임이사, 한중일 국제위암조인트심포지엄 한국대표, 한국정맥경장영양학회 교육위원장, 대한위암학회 정보전산위원장, 대구경북외과학회 회장 등을 역임했으며, 대한외과학회 상임이사, 진료심사평가위원회 비상근심사위원, 대한비만대사외과학회 부회장, 대한내시경복강경 위장관연구회 회장 등으로 활동하고 있다
류승완 교수는 “국내를 대표하는 임상영양을 연구하고 발전하는 필수의료의 핵심인 대한외과대사영양학회를 아태학회의 중심에서 더 열린 학회가 되도록 이끌어가겠다. 회장으로 부족한 사람이 되지 않도록 더욱 노력하겠다”고 취임 소감을 밝혔다.

Externally, he served as executive director of the Korean Endoscopic Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Research Society, Korean representative to the Korea-China-Japan International Joint Symposium on Gastric Cancer, chairman of the education committee of the Korean Society of Intravenous Enteral Nutrition, chairman of the Information and Computer Committee of the Korean Gastric Cancer Society, and chairman of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Surgical Society. He serves as a part-time review member of the Medical Review and Evaluation Committee, vice president of the Korean Society of Obesity and Metabolic Surgery, and president of the Korean Endoscopic Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Research Association.
Professor Seungwan Ryu said, “I will lead the Korean Society of Surgical Metabolism and Nutrition, which is the core of essential medical care that researches and develops clinical nutrition representing Korea, to become a more open society at the center of the Asia-Pacific Society. “I will work harder to ensure that I do not fall short as chairman,” he said in his inauguration speech.
