재단은 지난 5월 12일 이사회를 열어 예‧체‧기능 특기생 37명, 대학생 127명, 특별장학생 20명으로 총 184명을 선발하여 장학금 3억 2,600만 원을 지급키로 결정했다.

이날 수여식에서는 군의장, 시의원 및 군의원, 장학재단 임원, 장학생 및 가족, 초‧중‧고 교장 등 총 200여명이 참석한 가운데 184명의 장학생에게 장학증서를 수여했다.

김문오 이사장은“달성장학재단 이사장으로 취임할 당시 50억 원이었던 장학기금이 309억 원으로 조성되기까지는 각 기관, 단체 및 이사님들의 적극적인 관심과 성원이 있었기에 가능한 일이었다.”며 “달성장학재단은 앞으로 학업성적이 우수한 지역인재 및 다자녀 가정 등에 든든한 버팀목이 되도록 최선을 다할 것이다.”고 밝혔다.
