대구대학교(총장 김상호) 총동창회의 동창장학회가 후배 재학생들의 학업을 지원하기 위해 1천만원의 장학금을 전달했다고 28일 밝혔다.

지난 27일 경산캠퍼스 성산홀 2층 대회의실에서 열린 이번 장학금 전달식에는 김상호 총장, 박태영 동창장학회 이사, 유오재 경산경찰서장 등이 참석한 가운데 허수민(동물자원학과 1) 학생 등 총 10명의 대구대 재학생들에게 장학금이 전달됐다.

대구대 사회복지학과 교수로 재직 중인 박태영 이사는 “이번 장학금 전달로 인해 선배와 후배 간의 소중한 관계가 형성된 것이다”면서 “후배 장학생들은 이러한 관계를 승화시키고 연결해 보다 더 크게 키워나갈 수 있기를 바란다”고 말했다.

김상호 총장은 “동창장학회의 선배들이 후배 학생들에게 수여하는 장학금은 의미가 뜻깊다”며 “장학금을 받은 모든 장학생들에게 축하 인사를 전한다”고 말했다.
