양 기관은 지난 10월 27일 대구대학교 성산홀 2층 대회의실에서 ‘경상북도 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업’의 성공적 추진과 지역 산업 생태계 혁신을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.

이날 협약식에는 박순진 대구대 총장과 배영호 포항테크노파크 원장을 비롯해 장중혁 RISE사업단장, 정혜경 RIS DGM 공유대학센터장, 조성준 MEGAversity 연합대학센터장 등 양 기관 관계자들이 참석해 상호 협력 방안을 논의했다.

이번 협약은 대구대 RISE사업의 일환으로, 대학–혁신기관–기업 간 연계 협력체계를 강화하고 지역 혁신성장을 이끌기 위한 공동 전략 마련에 초점을 두고 있다.

양 기관은 앞으로 ▲친환경 배터리 소재 ▲미래 모빌리티 ▲전력변환시스템 ▲수소에너지 및 연료전지 등 신산업 분야의 전문 인재 양성을 위한 교육 프로그램을 공동 개발·운영하기로 했다.

또한 수소에너지·전기차·배터리 등 차세대 산업 분야에서의 공동 프로젝트 기획과 기술정보 교류, 현장 맞춤형 실무교육 인프라 공유, 지역 산업 발전을 위한 유기적 협력체계 구축 등 실질적 협력사업도 함께 추진할 계획이다.

배영호 포항테크노파크 원장은 “포항TP의 기술 인프라와 대구대학교의 교육 역량이 결합하면, 지역 산업 수요에 부합하는 인재를 길러내는 동시에 산업 경쟁력도 강화할 수 있을 것”이라고 강조했다.

박순진 대구대 총장은 “이번 협약은 대학과 지역 혁신기관이 함께 지역 산업의 미래를 설계하는 의미 있는 출발점”이라며 “에너지·모빌리티 등 첨단 분야의 공동 인재 양성을 통해 경북의 지속 가능한 성장 기반을 다지겠다”고 말했다.

 Daegu University and Pohang Technopark to Collaborate on Cultivating Talent in Eco-Friendly Energy and Future Mobility

Daegu University (President Park Soon-jin) and Pohang Technopark (Director Bae Young-ho) are establishing a cooperative system to cultivate specialized talent in the fields of eco-friendly energy and future mobility.

On October 27, the two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the conference room on the second floor of Seongsan Hall at Daegu University to successfully implement the "Gyeongsangbuk-do Regional Innovation-Oriented University Support System (RISE) Project" and innovate the regional industrial ecosystem.

The signing ceremony was attended by officials from both organizations, including Daegu University President Park Soon-jin, Pohang Technopark Director Bae Young-ho, RISE Project Director Jang Jung-hyuk, RIS DGM Shared University Center Director Jeong Hye-kyung, and MEGAversity United University Center Director Cho Seong-jun. They discussed mutual cooperation plans.

This agreement, part of Daegu University's RISE project, focuses on strengthening the collaborative network between universities, innovation organizations, and businesses and developing a joint strategy to drive regional innovation and growth.

The two organizations will jointly develop and operate educational programs to cultivate specialized talent in emerging industries such as eco-friendly battery materials, future mobility, power conversion systems, and hydrogen energy and fuel cells.

They also plan to pursue practical collaboration projects in next-generation industries such as hydrogen energy, electric vehicles, and batteries. These include joint project planning, technical information exchange, sharing customized practical training infrastructure, and establishing an organic cooperative system for regional industrial development.

Bae Young-ho, Director of Pohang Technopark, emphasized, "The combination of Pohang TP's technological infrastructure and Daegu University's educational capabilities will foster talent that meets the needs of local industries while also enhancing their competitiveness."

Daegu University President Park Soon-jin said, “This agreement is a meaningful starting point for the university and local innovation organizations to design the future of local industries together,” adding, “We will lay the foundation for sustainable growth in Gyeongbuk by jointly fostering talent in cutting-edge fields such as energy and mobility.”
