【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=재)2・18안전문화재단(이하 재단)이 대구경북 안전·소방관련 학과 학생들에게 장학금을 전달했다고 21일 밝혔다.

지난 20일 재단은 계명문화대학교에서 대구경북 안전·소방관련 학과 학생 10명에게 각 백만 원씩 총 천만 원의 장학금을 지급했다. 

2·18안전문화재단은 2003년 2월 18일 대구지하철화재참사를 계기로 2016년에 설립되었으며, ‘안전한 세상을 우리 손으로’라는 비전으로 장학 및 안전복지, 안전방재학술연구, 안전문화교육, 추모사업 등을 이어가고 있다.

이동우 이사장직무대행은 “학생들이 졸업 후 각각의 위치에서 안전한 사회를 위한 발판이 되길 기대한다”고 전했다.
