이에 대구지방고용노동청은 이에 올해 고용서비스 수요 대비 중장년내일센터가 부족하거나 기존 중장년내일센터를 이용하기에 거리가 먼 지역에 중장년내일센터 4개소를 추가 지정해 중장년들이 가까운 곳에서 편리하게 고용서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 고용서비스 전달체계를 강화하기로 했다.

중장년내일센터는 ‘무료직업소개 사업을 수행하는 비영리법인‧단체 중에서서비스 제공에 필요한 인력 및 시설을 갖춘’ 기관이 신청할 수 있다.

대구지방고용노동청은 신청기관을 대상으로 고용분야 전문가 등이 참여하는 심사위원회를 개최하여 중장년층 취업지원을 통해 지역사회에 공헌할 수 있는 기관을 운영기관으로 선정할 계획이다.

중장년내일센터를 운영하고자 하는 기관은 소정의 구비서류(지정신청서 및 사업계획서 등)를 오는 2월 23일까지 신청기관 소재지 관할 지방고용노동청 지역협력과(팀)로 제출하면 된다.

김규석 대구지방고용노동청장은 “대구 및 경북 북부 지역에 중장년내일센터를 신규 지정하여 중장년층의 활발해진 경제활동에 발맞춰 보다 더 가까운 곳에서 양질의 고용서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 추진할 예정”이라고 밝혔다.

한편 중장년내일센터는 고용노동부에서 지정하는 중장년 고용서비스 제공 기관으로서 40대 이상 중장년층을 대상으로 생애경력설계‧전직지원‧취업지원 서비스 등을 제공하여 원활한 이‧전직을 지원한다.

그동안 전국 31개 중장년내일센터(노사발전재단센터 12개소, 민간 중장년내일센터 19개소)에서 48개 고용복지플러스센터 내에 중장년 전담창구를 운영하면서 중장년에게 이‧전직 서비스를 제공해왔으나 중장년층 고용서비스수요 증가에 따른 인프라 확충이 지속 요구됐다.

Meanwhile, the Middle-aged Tomorrow Center is an employment service provider for middle-aged people designated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. It supports smooth transition and job change by providing life career planning, job change support, and employment support services to middle-aged people in their 40s or older.

So far, 31 middle-aged tomorrow centers across the country (12 Labor-Management Development Foundation centers, 19 private middle-aged tomorrow centers) have been providing job transfer and job change services to middle-aged people by operating dedicated counters for middle-aged people in 48 Employment Welfare Plus Centers, but the demand for employment services for middle-aged people is increasing.
