지난 28일 옥성면 행정복지센터에서 열린 아열대과수 품목육성 TF추진단 현장회의에 참석하여 농업 현장을 둘러보고 청년농업인 20여 명과 소통의 시간을 가졌다.
이날 간담회에서는 구미시의회 부의장 등 6명의 의원이 참석하였으며, 청년농업인과의 대화를 통해 현장의 생생한 목소리를 듣고 농업혁신을 위한 다양한 의견을 교환했다.
특히 청년농업인들이 겪고 있는 농지확보 문제와 자금 지원, 기술 교육 등 청년농업인들이 필요로 하는 실질적인 지원 방안에 대한 다양한 의견이 제시되었고 이를 해결하기 위한 제도 개선과 정책적 지원 방안에 대한 토의가 있었다.
이날 간담회를 주재한 부의장은“청년농업인들은 우리 농업의 미래를이끌어갈 주역으로 이들의 목소리를 경청하고 필요한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”라며, "구미시의회에서는 앞으로도 지속적인 소통을 통해 청년농업인들이 안정적으로 정착하고 성장할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
