【브레이크뉴스 구미】이성현 기자=구미시의회(의장 박교상)는 4월 14일부터 18일까지 5일간의 일정으로 제286회 임시회를 열고 본격적인 의정활동에 나섰다.

이번 임시회에서는 조례안 심사, 현장 방문, 행정사무감사계획서 작성 등 다양한 안건을 다룰 예정이며, 시정 전반에 대한 점검과 개선을 목표로 하고 있다.

임시회 첫날 열린 제1차 본회의에 앞서 진행된 5분 자유발언에서는 주요 현안에 대한 의원들의 목소리가 이어졌다. 김낙관 의원은 구미 관광산업 활성화와 청년주거 문제 해결을 위한 전담조직 신설을 강력히 촉구했고, 추은희 의원은 자원봉사자 처우 개선을 위한 일회성 예산 재조정 필요성을 지적했다. 정지원 의원은 경기침체 속 시민 일자리 확대에 대한 정책적 대응을 주문했다.

이번 임시회에서는 총 13건의 안건이 심사된다. 각 상임위원회는 15일부터 이틀간 의원발의 조례안 7건을 포함한 조례안 9건과 동의안 1건 등 주요 안건을 심사하며, 2025년도 행정사무감사를 위한 사전 준비 작업도 병행할 예정이다.

현장 방문도 병행된다. 기획행정위원회는 16일 노인일자리창출지원센터와 구미공설숭조당을, 산업건설위원회는 17일 LIG넥스원 구미사업장과 농산물산지유통센터를 각각 찾아 운영 현황 및 주요 사안을 점검할 계획이다.

이어 18일에는 제2차 본회의가 열려 각 상임위에서 심사한 안건들을 최종 의결하며 이번 임시회 일정을 마무리하게 된다.

박교상 의장은 개회식 인사말을 통해 “최근 발생한 대형 산불로 인해 소중한 생명을 잃은 분들과 피해를 입은 이재민들께 깊은 애도와 위로를 전한다”며 “집행기관은 산불 예방과 대응 매뉴얼 정비에 최선을 다해 시민의 생명과 재산을 보호해달라”고 당부했다.

Gumi City Council (Chairman Park Kyo-sang) held the 286th extraordinary session for 5 days from April 14 to 18 and began full-scale legislative activities.

The second plenary session will be held on the 18th to make final decisions on the agenda items reviewed by each standing committee, concluding the schedule for this extraordinary session.

In his opening remarks, Chairman Park Kyo-sang said, “I express my deepest condolences and comfort to those who lost their precious lives and those who suffered damage due to the recent large-scale forest fires,” and asked, “I urge the executive branch to do its best to develop a forest fire prevention and response manual to protect the lives and property of citizens.”
