【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자= 해병대 특수수색대대는 지난 1월 6일부터 10일까지 부대 내 인천상륙관 및 무적관에서 수중탐색구조 훈련을 실시했다고 13일 밝혔다.

이번 훈련은 체계적인 훈련 시스템을 정립하고 평시 수중 탐색구조능력 및 야간 탐색구조능력을 향상 시키는데 중점을 두고 진행했다.

훈련은 특수수색대원 80여명이 참가했으며 훈련 전 안전교육을 시작으로 교관 주관 수준 평가를 통해 기초반과 숙달반을 나눠 중성부력 유지, 기초잠수 숙달, 수중탐색구조 기술, 중량물 인양, 반원·원형 탐색법을 익혔다.

특히, 지난 9일에는 야간 환경을 조성해서 빛이 없는 야간 탐색구조훈련이 펼쳐졌다. 특수수색대원들은 시야가 제한된 상황에서 수중랜턴 및 촉감을 이용해 실종자 표류 예상 지점에 대한 수중 탐색법 숙달을 통해 임무 수행능력을 강화해나갔다.

부대는 구조작전태세를 완비하고 수중탐색구조에 필요한 기술 등을 연마하며 훈련 물자·장비 활용법을 공유했다. 또한, 동절기 기간을 고려해서 훈련 전·중·후 안전대책을 철저히 마련하고 안전사고에 각별히 유의하며 훈련을 진행했다.

해병대 특수수색중대장 김정환 대위(사후124기)는 “수중에서 이뤄지는 고강도 훈련으로 탐색·구조 등의 임무를 언제든지 완수할 수 있다는 자신감을 함양했다.”며 “어떠한 상황에서도 임무를 완수할 수 있도록 구조작전태세를 확립하겠다.”고 소감을 밝혔다.
