군은 지난해 12월 26일부터 올해 1월 말까지 신청을 접수한 뒤 자격 요건 확인과 실거주 현장 조사, 군 및 읍·면 심의위원회 심의를 거쳐 지급 대상자를 확정했다고 밝혔다.
2025년 1월 말 기준 영양군 인구 1만5,997명 가운데 1만4,512명이 신청했으며, 이 중 요건을 충족한 1만3,665명이 1차 지급 대상자로 선정됐다. 확정 대상자에게는 1인당 월 20만 원의 카드형 지역사랑상품권이 지급된다.
이번 농촌 기본소득은 신청일 직전 30일 이상 주민등록을 두고 주 3일 이상 실거주한 군민을 대상으로 한다. 서류 검증과 현장 확인, 읍·면 위원회 심의를 거쳐 대상자를 선정하며, 지급은 매월 말 정기적으로 이뤄진다. 신규 전입자의 경우 3개월간 실거주 확인 절차를 거친 뒤 소급 지급된다.
