【브레이크뉴스 영양】이성현 기자=영양군이 정보소외계층의 디지털 접근성을 높이기 위해 ‘사랑의 그린(중고)PC 보급사업’을 추진한다.
영양군은 사용 가능한 중고 PC를 수집해 정비한 뒤 정보취약계층에게 무상으로 지원하는 ‘사랑의 그린PC 보급사업’을 실시한다고 밝혔다. 이 사업은 디지털 접근성 향상과 함께 자원 재활용을 통한 저탄소 녹색성장에도 기여하기 위해 추진된다.
군은 올해 총 9대의 중고 PC 보급을 목표로 사업을 진행한다. 보급 대상은 기초생활수급자와 차상위계층, 한부모가정, 다문화가정, 장애인, 국가유공자 등 정보소외계층 개인과 장애인복지시설, 아동복지시설, 노인주거복지시설 등 사회복지시설 및 단체다. 특히 경제적 어려움으로 정보 이용이 제한된 기초생활수급자를 우선 지원할 계획이다.
보급되는 PC는 CPU i5 이상, RAM 8GB 이상 등 기본 성능을 갖춘 중고 컴퓨터를 정비해 제공되며, 키보드와 마우스, 스피커 등 주변기기는 새 제품으로 교체해 함께 지원된다. 또한 Windows 운영체제와 기본 프로그램을 설치한 상태로 제공해 수혜자가 즉시 사용할 수 있도록 할 예정이다.
신청은 오는 4월 3일까지 각 읍·면사무소 방문 또는 우편을 통해 가능하며, 신청서류 심사를 거쳐 보급 대상자를 선정한다. 이후 정비센터를 통해 PC 정비와 설치가 진행되며, 보급된 PC에 대해서는 1년간 무상 A/S도 제공된다.
영양군 관계자는 “이번 사랑의 그린PC 보급사업을 통해 정보 접근이 어려운 군민들이 보다 편리하게 디지털 환경을 이용할 수 있기를 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 정보격차 해소와 디지털 복지 확대를 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

The PCs being distributed are refurbished, used computers with basic performance, such as an i5 CPU or higher and 8GB of RAM or more. Peripherals, such as keyboards, mice, and speakers, will be replaced with new products. Furthermore, the PCs will be provided with the Windows operating system and basic programs installed, allowing recipients to use them immediately.
Applications are accepted in person at each township or county office or by mail until April 3rd. Eligible recipients will be selected after a thorough review of applications. PCs will then be serviced and installed at maintenance centers. Free after-sales service is also provided for one year for all PCs distributed.
