【브레이크뉴스 영양】이성현 기자=영양군은 10일 군청 대회의실에서 영양농협(조합장 양봉철), 남영양농협(조합장 박명술)과 함께 농촌 기본소득 지역 상생 및 지역경제 활성화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 오는 2월 말 지급 예정인 ‘영양군 농촌 기본소득 시범사업’을 원활히 추진하고, 지역 내 소비 촉진과 경제 선순환 구조를 구축하기 위해 마련됐다.

협약에 따라 세 기관은 농촌 기본소득의 사용처 확대와 지역경제 활성화를 목표로 ▲농촌 기본소득 추진에 따른 사회적 기부 및 지역 환원 활동 ▲지역 주민 편의 증진을 위한 물품의 안정적 공급 ▲지역경제 활성화를 위한 상호 협력 및 교류 확대 등 다양한 상생 협력 사업을 공동으로 추진하기로 했다.

영양군은 이번 협약을 통해 농촌 기본소득이 단순한 소득 지원에 그치지 않고, 지역경제 활성화와 공동체 상생으로 이어지는 선순환 구조를 형성할 것으로 기대하고 있다. 아울러 농촌 기본소득 시범사업과 연계한 지역 상생 협력 모델을 지속적으로 확대하고, 다양한 정책과 협력 사업을 추진해 나갈 계획이다.

이재열 영양군 농업축산과장은 “이번 협약은 농촌 기본소득 시범사업을 지역 상생과 경제 활성화로 연결하는 중요한 출발점”이라며 “영양군과 지역 농협이 긴밀히 협력해 군민이 체감할 수 있는 지역경제 활성화 성과를 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.

영양농협과 남영양농협 관계자도 “농촌 기본소득이 지역경제에 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있도록 적극 협력하고, 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 농협이 되겠다”고 밝혔다.
