【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도개발공사(사장 이재혁, 이하 공사)는 최근 경북 북부 지역에 발생한 대형 산불로 피해를 입은 주민들의 조속한 일상 회복을 위해 다각적인 복구 및 지원 계획을 마련했다고 10일 밝혔다.

이번 산불은 안동, 의성, 영양, 청송, 영덕 등으로 확산되며 주택, 산림, 농가 시설 등에 막대한 피해를 남겼고, 이로 인해 이재민 발생과 생계 기반 붕괴 등 지역 주민들의 고통이 커지고 있는 상황이다.

공사는 지난 3월 26일, 대한적십자사 경북지사와 경북 사회복지공동모금회에 성금 4,000만 원을 기탁했으며, 이어 임직원들의 자발적인 추가 모금 1,000만 원을 더해 총 5,000만 원을 전달하며 피해 극복에 힘을 보탰다.

특히 전남개발공사와 협력해 2022년부터 시행 중인 ‘영호남 행복 동행하우스’ 주거환경 개선 프로그램을 피해 지역 중심으로 확대 시행할 방침이다.

반소·부분소 주택 개보수 등 실질적 주거 지원이 우선 추진된다.

산불 피해를 입은 중소기업 대상 금융 지원책도 마련 중이다. 공사는 금융기관과 협력해 저금리 금융상품을 발굴하고, 자금 공급을 통해 기업의 빠른 경영 정상화를 지원할 계획이다.

또한 경북 내 중소기업 및 스타트업을 지원해온 동반성장 상생펀드의 지원 대상을 피해 지역까지 확대하는 방안도 내부 검토 중이다.

이번 산불을 계기로 공사는 화재에 취약한 전통시장 및 노후주택 등을 대상으로 하는 예방 캠페인도 한층 강화할 예정이다.

시설 안전 점검 확대, 화재 예방 교육 강화, 방재 물품 지원 등 예방 중심의 활동을 통해 재해 사전 차단에도 주력한다.

이재혁 사장은 “지역사회와 함께하는 공공기관으로서 이번 산불 피해 복구에 최선을 다할 것”이라며, “피해 주민들이 하루빨리 일상을 되찾을 수 있도록 지속적이고 실질적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 강조했다.
