【브레이크뉴스 구미】이성현 기자=구미시가 유망 스타트업과 투자사를 연결하는 창업 지원 플랫폼 도시로 주목받고 있다. 구미시와 구미전자정보기술원은 지난 28일 구미전자정보기술원 진흥관 대회의실에서 '2025년 구미시 ACCEL-RISE 투자 매칭데이'를 성공적으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사에는 지역 내 유망 벤처·창업기업 12개 사가 참여했으며, 기술력과 투자 매력도를 평가하는 사전 심사를 거쳐 5개 기업이 최종 IR(투자유치 발표) 무대에 올랐다.

최종 발표에 나선 기업은 ▲약물 전달 의료기기를 개발한 ㈜메디커넥터(대표 유정현) ▲수술용 내비게이션 개발기업 ㈜에이포랩(대표 박재영) ▲반도체 검사 장비용 소재 전문기업 ㈜엘에스에스엠(대표 안희석) ▲웨이퍼 모니터링 시스템 전문기업 ㈜디에이치티(대표 정성욱) ▲라이트필드 3D 디스플레이 기술을 보유한 ㈜에프에스엔메디컬코리아(대표 공진) 등이다. 이들 기업은 보유 기술의 독창성과 사업화 가능성을 중심으로 투자사 앞에서 발표를 진행했다.

이날 행사에는 인라이트벤처스㈜, 와이앤아처㈜, 바인벤처스㈜, 포스코기술투자㈜, 어벤도벤처스(유), 쿨리지코너인베스트먼트㈜, KH벤처파트너스㈜ 등 7개 투자사가 참석해, 발표 기업의 기술력과 시장성을 직접 평가하며 투자 가능성을 모색했다.

김장호 구미시장은 “이번 매칭데이를 통해 지역 스타트업들이 실질적인 투자 기회를 얻을 수 있는 기반을 마련했다”며, “구미시가 글로벌 창업 중심 도시로 도약할 수 있도록 적극적인 행정 지원을 이어가겠다”고 강조했다.

한편, 구미시는 지난해 595억 원 규모의 ‘인라이트넥스트 슈퍼스타 벤처펀드’를 조성하고, 올해 3월에는 지역 스타트업 ㈜알에프온에 10억 원을 투자하는 등 실질적인 창업 지원 성과를 내고 있다.

또한, 지역 기술 창업 생태계 조성을 위해 ACCEL-RISE 투자 매칭데이를 정례화했으며, 오는 8월과 11월에도 추가 행사를 예정하고 있다.

(CEO Jeong Seong-wook), which specializes in wafer monitoring systems; and ▲FSN Medical Korea Co., Ltd. (CEO Gong Jin), which possesses light field 3D display technology. These companies presented to investors, focusing on the originality and commercialization potential of their technologies.

On this day, seven investment companies, including Enlight Ventures Co., Ltd., Y&Archer Co., Ltd., Vine Ventures Co., Ltd., POSCO Technology Investment Co., Ltd., Avendo Ventures (Ltd.), Coolidge Corner Investment Co., Ltd., and KH Venture Partners Co., Ltd., attended the event and directly evaluated the technology and marketability of the companies making the presentations and explored investment possibilities.

Mayor Kim Jang-ho of Gumi City emphasized, “Through this Matching Day, we have laid the foundation for local startups to gain practical investment opportunities,” and “We will continue to provide active administrative support so that Gumi City can leap forward as a global startup-centered city.”

Meanwhile, Gumi City has been producing practical startup support results, such as establishing the ‘Inlight Next Superstar Venture Fund’ worth 59.5 billion won last year and investing 1 billion won in local startup Alfon Co., Ltd. in March of this year.

In addition, the ACCEL-RISE Investment Matching Day has been regularized to foster a local technology startup ecosystem, and additional events are scheduled for August and November.
