이번 대회는 2025 APEC 성공 개최를 기원하고, 농촌지도자의 역할과 발전 방향을 모색하며 지속가능한 농업·농촌의 미래 비전을 공유하기 위해 마련됐다. 또한 회원 간 화합과 단합을 다지며 경북 농업의 경쟁력을 함께 그려보는 자리였다.

식전 행사로는 도정 홍보와 APEC 영상 상영, 3D 아트 미디어 대북 공연이 펼쳐져 분위기를 고조시켰다. 이어 우수회원 표창, ‘2025 APEC 성공 개최 기원 비전 퍼포먼스’, 화합한마당 등이 진행됐다. 부대행사로는 최신 농기자재 전시, 시·군별 우수 농특산품 전시가 마련돼 실질적인 정보를 제공하며 큰 호응을 얻었다.

이날 구미시는 농림축산식품부 장관상(구미시연합회장 김광식), 농촌지도자 경종분야 대상(도량동 박철수), 경상북도지사상(장천면 엄진호), 우수연합회상 등을 수상하며 경북 농업을 이끄는 도시로서 위상을 입증했다.
