【브레이크뉴스 구미】이성현 기자=구미시가 2026년 관내 중소기업의 경영 안정을 지원하기 위해 총 1,900억 원 규모의 운전자금과 시설자금을 지원한다. 환율과 금리 변동성, 경기 불확실성이 지속되는 가운데 연초와 설 명절을 앞두고 집중되는 자금 수요에 선제적으로 대응하기 위한 조치다.
이번 중소기업 자금지원은 금융기관 대출 시 이자의 일부를 시가 보전하는 이차보전 방식으로 운영된다. 지원 기간은 운전자금 1년, 시설자금 3년이며, 지원 금리는 일반 2.5%, 우대 4%가 적용된다. 융자 한도는 최근 매출액을 기준으로 운전자금의 경우 일반 최대 3억 원, 우대 최대 5억 원까지, 시설자금은 일반 최대 5억 원, 우대 최대 7억 원까지 차등 지원된다.
특히 올해는 우대 기준을 대폭 확대했다. 대표자를 포함해 구미시 주소 근로자 비율이 80% 이상인 기업은 지원 금리를 기존 2.5%에서 4%로 상향 적용한다. 시설자금 우대 대상도 기존의 타 시·군 이전 기업, 농공단지 입주기업, 국내복귀기업에 더해 구미시와 투자 양해각서(MOU)를 체결한 기업까지 확대했다.
운전자금 역시 기존 우대기업 외에 구미시 여성친화인증기업과 구미시 창업지원사업 선정기업을 새롭게 포함해 보다 폭넓은 지원이 이뤄질 예정이다.
김장호 구미시장은 “연초와 설 명절을 앞둔 시기에 중소기업의 금융 부담을 완화해 경영 안정을 뒷받침하기 위한 조치”라며 “이번 자금 지원이 기업의 재도약 기반을 마련하고 지역경제 전반에 활력을 불어넣는 계기가 되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

The support period is one year for working capital and three years for facility funds, with interest rates of 2.5% for general and 4% for preferential. Loan limits are differentiated based on recent sales: up to KRW 300 million for general and KRW 500 million for preferential loans, and up to KRW 500 million for facility funds for general and preferential loans, respectively.
This year, the preferential criteria have been significantly expanded. For companies with more than 80% of their employees, including the CEO, residing in Gumi City, the interest rate will be increased from 2.5% to 4%. Eligibility for preferential facility financing has also been expanded to include companies that have signed an investment memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Gumi City, in addition to companies relocating from other cities and counties, companies located in agricultural and industrial complexes, and companies returning to Korea.
Working capital support will also be expanded to include companies certified as women-friendly by Gumi City and those selected for the Gumi City Startup Support Program, in addition to existing preferential companies.
Gumi Mayor Kim Jang-ho stated, "This measure aims to alleviate the financial burden on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and support their management stability ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday. I hope this financial support will lay the foundation for companies to make a comeback and revitalize the local economy."
