【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행북구문화재단 서변숲도서관이 초등학생을 위한 새로운 독서 프로그램을 운영한다. 

도서관 측은 어린이들의 독서 습관 형성과 사고력 향상을 위해 초등 저·중학년 대상의 ‘어린이 독서회’ 두 개 반을 7월부터 개설한다고 밝혔다.

독서회는 7월부터 12월까지 매월 둘째·넷째 월요일에 월 2회씩 운영된다. 초등 1~2학년을 위한 ‘새싹 책 탐험대’는 8명을 대상으로 그림책을 함께 읽고 느낀 점을 나누는 활동을 통해 상상력과 표현력을 기르도록 구성됐다.

초등 3~4학년을 대상으로 하는 ‘책과 콩나무’는 총 15명을 모집하며, 뉴스와 책을 함께 읽고 사회적 이슈와 가치를 토론하면서 문제해결력과 슬로우리딩 습관을 함께 기를 수 있도록 설계됐다.

도서관 관계자는 “전문 강사가 직접 학년별 눈높이에 맞춘 도서와 활동을 준비했다”며 “아이들이 책을 통해 세상과 소통하고, 자기 생각을 표현할 수 있는 소중한 경험이 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.

서변숲도서관은 앞으로도 지역 아동들의 독서문화 형성을 위한 다양한 프로그램을 지속 운영할 계획이다.

The Seobyeon Forest Library of the Bokbuk-gu Cultural Foundation is operating a new reading program for elementary school students.

The library announced that it will open two classes of ‘Children’s Reading Club’ for elementary school students in July to develop reading habits and improve thinking skills.

The reading club will be held twice a month on the second and fourth Mondays of every month from July to December. The ‘Sprout Book Exploration Group’ for elementary school students in grades 1 and 2 is designed to foster imagination and expressiveness through activities where eight students read picture books together and share their thoughts.

‘Books and Beanstalk’ for elementary school students in grades 3 and 4 is recruiting a total of 15 students and is designed to foster problem-solving skills and slow reading habits while reading news and books together and discussing social issues and values.

A library official said, “Professional instructors have prepared books and activities tailored to each grade level,” and added, “We hope that this will be a valuable experience for children to communicate with the world and express their thoughts through books.”

Seobyeon Forest Library plans to continue to operate various programs to foster a reading culture among local children.
