【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단(대표이사 박정숙)이 오는 24일부터 내년 1월 3일까지 어울아트센터 갤러리 금호와 명봉에서 기획전시 ‘Hyper-Sense: 초감각의 세계’를 연다.

이번 전시는 인간이 익숙하게 사용하는 다섯 가지 감각을 예술을 통해 확장하고, 감각과 인지가 교차하며 나타나는 새로운 지각의 세계를 탐구하는 자리다. 

시각, 청각, 촉각, 운동감 등 다양한 매체를 활용한 작품이 전시되며, 관람객들에게 기존과는 다른 방식으로 세상을 인식하는 다중감각 경험을 제공할 예정이다.

전시에는 김예솔, 김은정, 노순천, 윤지영 작가가 참여한다. 

김예솔 작가는 ‘걷기’라는 신체적 행위를 통해 일상의 공간을 다시 생각하게 하는 드로잉과 회화 작품을 선보인다. 

김은정 작가는 천과 실 등 유기적 재료를 쌓아 올려 촉각이 불러오는 감정과 기억을 시각화한 설치 작품을 마련했다.

노순천 작가는 ‘소리 조각’을 기반으로, 보이지 않는 진동을 시각화하고 철판의 공진을 통해 소리와 공간의 관계를 조명한다. 윤지영 작가는 이미지와 소리의 파동적 관계를 탐구하며, 꽃의 형태를 음계로 변환하는 등 시각과 청각을 넘나드는 예술작업을 선보인다.

전시 기간 동안에는 상시 체험 프로그램도 운영된다. ‘감각의 상자: 손끝으로 그리다’는 상자 속 사물을 오로지 촉각만으로 느껴보고 이를 드로잉으로 표현하는 체험 프로그램이다. 또 ‘감각진단서’ 프로그램에서는 관람객의 주된 감각 유형을 확인하고, 이를 바탕으로 작품과의 색다른 연결고리를 제시한다.

박정숙 대표이사는 “이번 전시는 익숙한 감각의 한계를 넘어, 예술이 열어주는 새로운 사유의 공간을 탐색하는 기회가 될 것”이라며 “관람객들이 자신의 감각과 세계의 리듬이 만나 깊은 몰입을 경험하길 바란다”고 전했다.

The Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation (CEO Park Jeong-sook) will present the special exhibition "Hyper-Sense: The World of Extrasensory Senses" at the Eoul Art Center Gallery Kumho and Myeongbong from January 24th to January 3rd of next year.

This exhibition expands the five senses humans are accustomed to using through art and explores the new world of perception that emerges when senses and cognition intersect.

Works utilizing various media, including visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic, will be showcased, offering visitors a multisensory experience that allows them to perceive the world in a new way.

Artists Kim Yesol, Kim Eun-jung, Noh Soon-cheon, and Yoon Ji-young will participate in the exhibition.

Kim Yesol presents drawings and paintings that invite viewers to rethink everyday spaces through the physical act of "walking."

Kim Eun-jung has created an installation visualizing the emotions and memories evoked by the sense of touch, layering organic materials like fabric and thread.

Artist Noh Soon-cheon, using "sound sculptures," visualizes invisible vibrations and illuminates the relationship between sound and space through the resonance of steel plates. Artist Yoon Ji-young explores the wave-like relationship between image and sound, presenting artworks that transcend the visual and auditory realms, such as transforming flower shapes into musical scales.

Permanent experiential programs are also offered during the exhibition period. "Box of Senses: Drawing with Fingertips" allows visitors to experience the objects in the box solely through touch and then express their experiences through drawings. The "Sensory Diagnosis" program identifies the viewer's primary sensory type and, based on this, suggests unique connections to the artwork.

CEO Park Jeong-sook stated, "This exhibition will provide an opportunity to transcend the limitations of familiar senses and explore the new contemplative spaces that art opens up. I hope that visitors will experience a profound immersion as their senses converge with the rhythms of the world."
