【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=국악과 융복합이 만나는 ‘이상한 나라’, 트래덜반의 새 무대가 관객들을 찾아온다.

행복북구문화재단 상주단체 ‘전통하는 요즘 사람들 트래덜반’은  11월 7일 오전 11시, 오후 2시, 그리고 11월 8일 저녁 5시에 어울아트센터 함지홀에서 국악 공연 ‘이상한 나라의 트래덜반’을 선보인다. 

이번 작품은 전통 국악에 현대적 감각을 더한 융복합 무대로, 관객들에게 색다른 사유의 시간을 제공할 것으로 기대를 모은다.

트래덜반의 신작 ‘이상한 나라의 트래덜반’은 루이스 캐럴의 동화 ‘이상한 나라의 앨리스’에서 영감을 얻어 기획됐다. 

작품은 ‘이상함’이라는 일상 속 낯선 감각에 집중하며, 토끼를 따라 굴속을 향하는 대목을 통해 빠르게 변화하는 현대 사회의 혼란과 불확실성을 은유하는 등 창조적 해석을 곁들였다.

현실과 환상이 뒤섞인 무대에서 관객들은 잠들었던 감각을 깨우고, 익숙한 세상을 새롭게 바라볼 것으로 보인다.

이번 공연은 ‘무장애 문화향유’를 내세운다. 11월 7일 오전 11시와 오후 2시에 진행되는 회차는 한국장애인문화예술원이 지원하는 ‘2025 무장애 문화향유 활성화 지원사업’의 일환으로 마련됐다. 

장애 유무, 나이, 누구에게나 무료로 개방되는 이번 공연은 문화예술 접근성 확대에 중점을 뒀다.

공연 시작 전에는 무용 동작과 작품 이해를 돕는 터치 투어 프로그램이 운영된다. 공연 중에는 음성해설 송수신기, 자막, 수어 통역 등 다양한 서비스가 제공되며, 전용 수어통역사도 배치된다. 

이 밖에도 로비와 객석 곳곳에서 안내가 이뤄져 관객 누구나 쉽고 편하게 공연을 즐길 수 있도록 지원할 예정이다.

무대에는 트래덜반 주요 멤버인 무용수 이선민, 소리꾼 권가연, 전통 타악기 박효주, 전통 관악기 정규혁 등이 선다. 

여기에 음악, 무용, 연극 분야에서 활발하게 활동 중인 박희재, 백경림, 박필구, 최원규(음악), 김하늘, 이정민, 이혜인, 임지혜, 하효린(무용), 배우 박성진 등 총 17명의 아티스트가 출연해 깊이 있고 풍성한 융복합 국악 무대를 완성할 예정이다.

공연은 앨리스와 고양이를 중심으로 ‘이상한 고양이’, ‘호모 사과쿠스’, ‘여왕의 정원’, ‘꿈이었어?’ 등 7개의 에피소드로 꾸며지며, 관객들에게 환상적인 경험을 안길 전망이다.

박정숙 행복북구문화재단 대표이사는 “트래덜반의 이번 무대가 현실과 환상을 넘나들며 관객들에게 특별한 사유의 시간을 전하기를 바란다”며, “무장애 공연을 통해 모두가 문화예술을 자유롭게 누릴 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Tradulban's new stage, where Korean traditional music and convergence meet, is coming to audiences.

The Haengbok Bukgu Cultural Foundation's resident group, "Tradulban: People of Today Who Do Tradition," will present the Korean traditional music performance "Tradulban in Wonderland" at the Hamji Hall of the Eoul Arts Center on November 7th at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and on November 8th at 5:00 PM.

This work, a fusion performance that combines traditional Korean music with a modern sensibility, is expected to provide audiences with a unique opportunity for reflection.

Tradulban's new work, "Tradulban in Wonderland," was inspired by Lewis Carroll's fairy tale "Alice in Wonderland."

The work focuses on the unfamiliar sensation of "strangeness" in everyday life, and creatively interprets the scene where the performer follows a rabbit down a hole, metaphorically representing the chaos and uncertainty of a rapidly changing modern society.

In this performance, where reality and fantasy intertwine, audiences are expected to awaken dormant senses and experience a new perspective on a familiar world.

This performance emphasizes "barrier-free cultural enjoyment." The performances, scheduled for November 7th at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, are part of the "2025 Barrier-Free Cultural Enjoyment Promotion Support Project," supported by the Korea Disabled Artists and Culture Institute.

This performance, free and open to all, regardless of disability or age, focuses on expanding accessibility to culture and the arts.

A touch tour program will be provided before the performance to help understand the dance movements and the piece. During the performance, various services, including audio commentary transceivers, subtitles, and sign language interpretation, will be provided, and a dedicated sign language interpreter will be on hand.

Furthermore, guidance will be provided throughout the lobby and auditorium to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all audience members.

Performing on stage will be key members of Tradulban: dancer Lee Seon-min, singer Kwon Ga-yeon, traditional percussionist Park Hyo-joo, and traditional wind instrumentist Jeong Gyu-hyeok.

A total of 17 artists active in music, dance, and theater, including Park Hee-jae, Baek Kyung-rim, Park Pil-gu, Choi Won-gyu (music), Kim Ha-neul, Lee Jung-min, Lee Hye-in, Lim Ji-hye, Ha Hyo-rin (dance), and actor Park Sung-jin, will perform, creating a rich and complex Korean traditional music performance.

The performance, centered around Alice and the Cat, will be divided into seven episodes: "The Strange Cat," "Homo Applecus," "The Queen's Garden," and "Was It a Dream?", promising a fantastical experience for the audience.

Park Jeong-sook, CEO of the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation, stated, "I hope that Tradler Barn's performance will transcend reality and fantasy, providing the audience with a special moment of reflection. We will strive to ensure that everyone can freely enjoy culture and the arts through accessible performances."
