【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단이 대구 지역 중·장년층을 대상으로 무료 연극 교육 프로그램 ‘행복연극교실 6기’ 참가자를 모집한다.

재단은 오는 2월 20일까지 45세 이상 대구 거주자를 대상으로 연극단원을 선발한다고 밝혔다. 참가비는 전액 무료이며, 모집 인원은 25명 이내다.

‘행복연극교실’은 무대 경험이 없는 일반 시민도 연극 창작의 전 과정을 체험할 수 있도록 마련된 생활문화 사업이다. 올해로 6기를 맞은 이 프로그램은 중·장년층의 문화 참여 기회를 확대하고, 또래 간 사회적 교류의 장을 제공하는 데 의미를 더해왔다.

교육은 3월부터 11월까지 약 9개월간 운영된다. 수업은 매주 화요일과 금요일 오후 2시부터 4시까지 진행되며, 초반에는 몸짓 표현과 즉흥 대화 훈련, 연극의 기초 이론을 배우게 된다. 이후 즉흥 연기와 소규모 극 제작 실습을 거쳐, 참여자들이 직접 대본과 배역을 만들어 하나의 작품을 완성하는 방식으로 이어진다.

과정의 마지막에는 11월 어울아트센터 오봉홀에서 참가자들이 직접 무대에 올라 자신들의 삶과 경험을 바탕으로 한 공연을 선보이게 된다. 참가자 전원이 창작부터 무대까지 전 과정에 직접 참여한다.

재단 측은 이번 프로그램이 중·장년층의 자기표현 능력 증진과 일상 활력 회복, 지역 내 새로운 만남의 기회를 제공할 것으로 기대하고 있다. 단순한 취미 활동을 넘어, 무대를 통해 각자 삶의 다양한 역할을 발견할 수 있도록 돕겠다는 방침이다.

참가 신청은 행복북구문화재단 홈페이지 공지사항에서 신청서를 내려받아 작성한 뒤, 문화사업본부 사무실에 방문하거나 우편·이메일로 제출하면 된다. 접수 마감은 2월 20일이며, 최종 선발 결과와 향후 일정은 개별 안내될 예정이다.

재단 관계자는 “연극을 통해 중·장년 시민들이 자신의 이야기를 전하고, 새로운 인연과 기회를 만들었으면 한다”며 “경험이 없더라도 연극에 관심 있는 시민들의 많은 참여를 기다린다”고 말했다.

The Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation is recruiting participants for its 6th "Happy Theater Class," a free theater education program for middle-aged and older adults in the Daegu area.

The foundation announced that it will be recruiting members for its theater troupe from Daegu residents aged 45 and older until February 20th. Participation is free, and the program is limited to 25 participants.

Afterwards, participants will practice improvisation and small-scale theater production, ultimately creating their own scripts and roles to complete a complete production.

At the end of the program, participants will perform on stage at the Oul Arts Center's Obong Hall in November, presenting a performance based on their lives and experiences. All participants will be directly involved in the entire process, from creation to staging.

The foundation hopes this program will enhance self-expression for middle-aged and older adults, revitalize their daily lives, and provide opportunities for new encounters within the community. Beyond simply pursuing a hobby, the foundation aims to help individuals discover the diverse roles they play in their lives through the stage.

To apply, download the application form from the Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation website, complete it, and submit it in person to the Cultural Affairs Headquarters office or by mail or email. A foundation representative stated, "We hope that middle-aged and older citizens will be able to share their stories through theater and create new connections and opportunities. We welcome the participation of citizens interested in theater, even those without prior experience."
