【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구가 주민들의 일상을 문화로 연결하는 새로운 생활밀착형 문화전략 ‘픽셀 라이프’를 본격적으로 추진한다. 개인의 다양한 취향을 작은 조각처럼 존중하고, 이들을 모아 지역문화의 촘촘한 네트워크를 만들어가겠다는 계획이다.

핵심 거점은 어울아트센터와 청문당, 이태원길, 금호강 일대다. 북구는 각 공간의 특성을 살려 공연·전시·생활문화·축제를 배치하고, 주민들이 직접 체감할 수 있는 환경 조성에 초점을 맞췄다.

어울아트센터에서는 공연 프로그램이 더욱 다양해진다. 온라인 콘텐츠를 무대 위로 옮긴 ‘오프라인 유튜버’ 시리즈를 비롯해, 6월에는 카피추, 8월에는 코코보라 공연이 예정돼 있다. 11월에는 ‘Story with 레전드(가제)’가 관객을 찾는다. 명작 시리즈로는 2월 노을 콘서트, 5월 루시드폴 공연과 연극 ‘더 비기닝’, 10월에는 ‘시인과 촌장 40주년 콘서트’가 준비돼 있다. 신년음악회, 평일 낮 ‘두시의 콘서트’, 영유아 대상 ‘아가랑 콘서트’, 인디페스티벌 등 다양한 프로그램을 통해 관객층도 한층 넓어진다.

전시는 누구나 쉽게 오갈 수 있는 ‘일상’과 ‘접근성’을 중심에 뒀다. 배리어프리 전시는 어느덧 4년째 이어지고 있다. 오는 5월 열리는 ‘확장의 세계(가제)’는 장애와 비장애 예술가가 손을 잡은 협업 전시로 꾸며진다. 환경과 감각을 테마로 한 전시도 마련될 예정이다. 8월에는 ‘FAST!FAST!’, 그리고 야외 사운드 워킹 프로그램 ‘소리 산책’, 빛 설치전 ‘ON LIGHT’ 등이 북구의 일상 공간을 예술로 물들인다. 대구권 미술대학 신진 작가 교류전도 열려 신선한 감각을 더한다.

도심 축제는 주민이 주인이 되는 방식으로 변화하고 있다. ‘금호강 바람소리길 축제’는 9월 19, 20일 이틀 동안 산격대교 하단 일원에서 펼쳐진다. 축제장 규모만 1만5천㎡에 달한다. 주민이 직접 기획과 운영에 참여하는 축제 아카데미를 도입하고, 구역별로 테마와 힐링 콘텐츠를 강화할 예정이다. 다회용기 사용 등 친환경 운영도 확대된다. 지난해 8만5천 명이 방문해 우수축제로 선정된 성과를 올해도 이어간다는 방침이다.

이태원길과 청문당은 생활문화 거점으로 한층 강화된다. 이태원길에서는 야외도서관과 인문체험 프로그램 ‘이야기가 흐르는 시월’, 주민 참여 경연대회 ‘펼쳐락’ 등이 진행된다. 문학과 거리 문화가 자연스럽게 어우러질 전망이다. 청문당은 BOOK&MUSIC 라운지와 루프탑을 상시 개방하고, 기술융합 전시, 릴레이 전시, 아카이빙 전시를 통해 청년 예술 활동도 지원한다.

생활문화 정책 강화에도 힘을 쏟는다. 생활문화 브랜드 ‘부꾸러버’를 중심으로 관련 동아리 축제와 생활문화지도 개정판이 선보인다. 동아리 활동비 지원 사업도 이어진다. 도서관은 5색 특성화 프로그램으로 독서, 인문, 체험이 어우러진 ‘책 읽는 북구’ 문화를 확산한다. 어린이부터 어르신까지 폭넓게 참여하는 지역 예술단체 운영으로 세대 간 문화 교류도 촉진할 예정이다.

Daegu's Buk-gu District is launching a new, lifestyle-focused cultural strategy, "Pixel Life," that connects residents' daily lives with culture. The plan is to respect the diverse tastes of individuals and bring them together to create a dense network of local culture.

Key hubs include the Eoul Arts Center, Cheongmundang, Itaewon-gil, and the Geumho River area. Buk-gu is focusing on creating an environment where residents can directly experience these experiences by arranging performances, exhibitions, cultural events, and festivals that capitalize on the unique characteristics of each space.

The Eoul Arts Center is expanding its performance program. Performances include the "Offline YouTuber" series, which brings online content to the stage, as well as performances by Copychu in June and Kokobora in August. "Story with Legend" (tentative title) will be held in November. The Masterpiece Series includes the Sunset Concert in February, the Lucid Fall performance and the play "The Beginning" in May, and the "Poet and Village Chief 40th Anniversary Concert" in October. A variety of programs, including the New Year's Concert, the weekday afternoon "2 O'Clock Concert," the "Baby Concert" for infants and toddlers, and the Indie Festival, will further broaden the audience.

The exhibition focuses on "everyday life" and "accessibility," making it accessible to everyone. The barrier-free exhibition has been running for four years. "Expanding World" (tentative title) will be held in May, featuring collaborative exhibitions by disabled and non-disabled artists. Exhibitions themed around the environment and senses are also planned. In August, "FAST! FAST!", the outdoor sound walking program "Sound Walk," and the light installation "ON LIGHT" will transform everyday spaces in Buk-gu into art. An exchange exhibition of emerging artists from art colleges in the Daegu area will also be held, adding a fresh perspective.

City festivals are evolving into initiatives where residents take ownership. The "Geumho River Wind Sound Road Festival" will be held on September 19th and 20th, along the area below Sangyeokdaegyo Bridge. The festival grounds alone will span 15,000 square meters. A festival academy will be introduced, allowing residents to directly participate in planning and operation, and themes and healing content will be enhanced for each district. Eco-friendly operations, such as the use of reusable containers, will also be expanded. The festival aims to continue its success, achieving recognition as an outstanding festival last year with 85,000 visitors.

Itaewon-gil and Cheongmundang will be further strengthened as hubs for lifestyle culture. Itaewon-gil will host an outdoor library, the humanities experience program "October with Flowing Stories," and the resident participation contest "Pyeolcheorak." Literature and street culture are expected to seamlessly blend together. Cheongmundang will have its BOOK & MUSIC lounge and rooftop open year-round, and support youth artistic activities through technology convergence exhibitions, relay exhibitions, and archival exhibitions.

Efforts will also be made to strengthen lifestyle culture policies. Centered around the lifestyle culture brand "Bukku Lover," related club festivals and a revised lifestyle culture map will be introduced. Support for club activity expenses will also continue. The library will promote a "Book-Reading Buk-gu" culture that combines reading, the humanities, and hands-on experiences through five specialized programs. It will also foster intergenerational cultural exchange by operating local arts groups with a wide range of participants, from children to seniors.

Park Jeong-sook, CEO of the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation, stated, "We will fill every corner of Buk-gu with culture through 'Pixel Life,' which respects even the smallest personal preferences. We will create an open cultural environment where everyone is a part of the community."
