대경경자청은 지난 2일 대구텍스타일콤플렉스(DTC) 2층 세미나실에서 ‘DGFEZ 취업패스 캡스톤 디자인 및 해커톤 대회’를 개최했다고 3일 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 지역 청년과 기업 간의 취업 미스매칭 문제를 청년의 시각에서 풀어보자는 취지로 마련됐다.

캡스톤 디자인은 대학생들이 이론과 기술을 바탕으로 실제 문제를 해결하는 종합설계 프로젝트이며, 해커톤은 정해진 시간 내 팀별 아이디어를 도출해 경쟁하는 형식의 대회다. 이번 대회에는 경북대, 영남대, 경일대 등 지역 대학생 22명이 6개 팀을 이루어 참여했다.

참가자들은 지난 4월부터 총 5차례의 사전 교육과 팀별 과제를 통해, 지역 중소기업의 채용 공고와 정책 사례를 분석하고 청년 맞춤형 취업 지원 모델을 직접 설계해왔다. 특히 채용 브랜딩 전략과 기업 마케팅 기획 등 실제 적용 가능한 제안들이 다수 제출됐다.

대회 당일에는 각 팀이 그간의 성과를 발표하고, 전문가 평가를 통해 최종 수상팀이 가려졌다.

최우수상은 ‘대구로젊프’ 프로젝트를 제안한 팀에게 돌아갔다. 이 프로젝트는 경자구역 내 중소기업에 취업한 청년들의 장기근속과 지역 정착을 유도하기 위한 맞춤형 공제지원 프로그램으로, 경상북도지사상과 상금 100만원이 수여됐다. 수상자는 박세혁(영진전문대), 박승찬(경북대), 한진환(경일대), 황준섭(광운대) 등 4명이다.

우수상은 김채훈, 박신규, 이시현(이상 경북대), 김지성(대구대) 학생으로 구성된 팀이 수상했다. 이들은 풀뿌리 중소기업 네트워크 구축, 청년-기업 매칭 플랫폼 운영, 학점 연계 인턴십 프로그램 등 실효성 있는 정책을 제안해 대경경자청장상과 상금 50만원을 받았다.

김병삼 청장은 “이번 대회는 지역 청년들이 직접 지역 문제 해결에 참여한 의미 있는 자리”라며 “때로는 전문가보다 청년들의 창의적인 아이디어가 정책에 더 큰 영향을 줄 수 있다. 앞으로도 입주기업의 애로 해소를 위해 다양한 주체의 의견을 적극 반영하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (Director Kim Byung-sam) has begun seeking solutions to resolve the employment issues of local youth and the labor shortage of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 3rd that it held the ‘DGFEZ Job Pass Capstone Design and Hackathon Competition’ in the seminar room on the 2nd floor of the Daegu Textile Complex (DTC). This event was organized with the purpose of solving the employment mismatch issue between local youth and companies from the perspective of youth.

Capstone Design is a comprehensive design project in which college students solve real-world problems based on theory and technology, while Hackathon is a competition in which teams compete by generating ideas within a set time. In this competition, 22 local college students from Kyungpook National University, Yeungnam University, and Kyungil University participated in 6 teams.

Since April, the participants have analyzed job postings and policy cases of local small and medium-sized enterprises and designed customized employment support models for young people through five rounds of pre-education and team assignments. In particular, many proposals that can be applied in practice, such as job branding strategies and corporate marketing plans, were submitted.

On the day of the competition, each team presented their achievements so far, and the final winning team was selected through expert evaluation.

The grand prize went to the team that proposed the ‘Daegu Youth’ project.

This project is a customized mutual aid support program to encourage long-term employment and local settlement of young people employed at small and medium-sized enterprises in the Gyeongja District, and was awarded the Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor’s Award and a prize of 1 million won. The four winners are Park Se-hyeok (Yeongjin College), Park Seung-chan (Kyungpook National University), Han Jin-hwan (Kyungil University), and Hwang Jun-seop (Kwangwoon University).

The Excellence Award went to the team consisting of Kim Chae-hoon, Park Shin-gyu, Lee Si-hyeon (all Kyungpook National University), and Kim Ji-seong (Daegu National University). They proposed effective policies such as establishing a grassroots SME network, operating a youth-business matching platform, and a credit-linked internship program, and received the Daegyeong Gyeongja Office Director’s Award and a prize of 500,000 won.

Director Kim Byeong-sam said, “This competition is a meaningful opportunity for local youth to directly participate in solving local problems,” and “Sometimes, the creative ideas of young people can have a greater impact on policies than experts. We will continue to actively reflect the opinions of various entities to resolve the difficulties of companies moving in.”
