이번 펀드 매칭 데이는 DGFEZ의 ‘新 중장기 발전전략’에 따라 1,600억원 규모의 VC 자금투자유치를 위해 지난 7월 24일 서울에서 진행한‘수도권 VC 및 기업 초청투자유치 설명회’의 후속조치로 이뤄졌다.

‘수성알파디지털위크’는 비수도권 최대 SW 집적단지로 성장한 수성알파시티에 문화를 더해 머무르고 싶은 수성알파시티를 만들고자 대구시와 대구디지털혁신진흥원(DIP)이 추진하는 다양한 비즈니스기회와 산업·문화행사가 개최되는 융복합 행사로 수성알파시티 내입주기업과 일반 시민들이 참석할 수 있다.

DGFEZ는 비즈니스 행사 내 투자유치 활성화 추진을 주목적으로 하고 있으며, 이번 이벤트는 수도권 VC 수성알파시티 시찰, 세미나(신용보증기금 사업 및 DGFEZ 투자유치 지원 사업 소개), 참가자 및 VC 간 네트워킹, 그리고 사전에 매칭된 VC와 지역 기업 간 1:1 오픈 펀드 매칭 행사로 구성된다.

신용보증기금과 DGFEZ 지원 사업 안내로 구성될 세미나에는 수성알파시티 내 입주기업, 지역 내 SW기업 및 VC·AC들이 모두 참석대상자이며 본 행사 이후에는 DIP에서 개최하는 치맥 네트워킹 행사와연계한 저녁 행사를 개최하여 1:1 오픈 펀드 매칭 데이에 참석하지 못한 지역 기업들에게도 수도권 VC와 소통할 수 있는 시간을 제공할 예정이다.

DGFEZ는 행사를 통하여 지역 기업이 평소 접근이 어려운 수도권 대형 VC 초청을 통해 자금 투자유치와 네트워킹을 지원하면서 동시에수성알파시티에 입주한 기업만 대상으로 1:1 오픈 펀드 매칭 행사참석자를 모집하여 향후 역외 혹은 대구 권역 내 기업들이 수성알파시티 입주 시에만 받을 수 있는 추가 인센티브로 홍보할 예정이다.

김병삼 대구경북경제자유구역청장은 “지난 7월 개최한 수도권 VC 및 기업 초청 투자유치 설명회에서 VC들의 지역 기업들에 대한 정보가 부족하고 접근할 방법이 많지 않다는 의견을 듣고 이번 행사를 기획하게 되었다”며 “이러한 투자자들의 자금 유치 활성화를 위해 수성알파시티 내 기업들의 기술력과 경쟁력 개발이 필요하다. 이를 위해 DGFEZ에서도 지속적인 지원 사업을 추진하도록 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.

The seminar, which will consist of an introduction to the Credit Guarantee Fund and DGFEZ support projects, is open to all companies residing in Susung Alpha City, SW companies in the region, and VCs and ACs. After the event, an evening event will be held in conjunction with the chicken and beer networking event hosted by DIP, providing local companies that were unable to attend the 1:1 Open Fund Matching Day with an opportunity to communicate with VCs in the metropolitan area.

Through the event, DGFEZ will support local companies in attracting investment and networking by inviting large VCs in the metropolitan area that are usually difficult to approach, while at the same time recruiting participants for the 1:1 Open Fund Matching event exclusively for companies residing in Susung Alpha City, and promoting it as an additional incentive that companies from outside the region or in the Daegu area can receive only when they residing in Susung Alpha City in the future.

Kim Byung-sam, the head of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority, said, “At the investment attraction briefing session for VCs and companies in the metropolitan area held last July, we heard that VCs lacked information about local companies and that there were not many ways to approach them, which led us to plan this event.” He added, “In order to encourage these investors to attract funds, it is necessary to develop the technological prowess and competitiveness of companies in Susung Alpha City.
