【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자= 대구광역시행복진흥사회서비스원(이사장 배기철, 이하 대구행복진흥원)이 2025년 교통복지사업 ‘다多 함께 대구로路’의 일환으로 다문화가족 900명에게 교통카드를 지원한다.

이번 사업은 대중교통 이용 활성화와 교통약자 지원을 위한 것으로, 대구시에 거주하는 만 6세 이상~65세 이하 다문화가족 구성원 중 6월 1일부터 7월 31일까지 버스나 도시철도를 1회 이상 이용한 이력이 있는 경우 신청이 가능하다. 선착순으로 선정하며, 접수는 7월 7일부터 대구행복진흥원 홈페이지를 통해 온라인으로 진행된다.

지원 대상에게는 1인당 5만 원 상당의 교통카드가 제공되며, 한 가구당 최대 4매(1인 1매)까지 신청할 수 있다. 신청자는 주민등록등본과 가족관계증명서 등 다문화가족임을 증명할 수 있는 서류를 제출해야 하며, 이용 내역 확인을 거쳐 등기우편으로 교통카드가 발송된다.

대구행복진흥원은 지난해까지는 지역 가족센터를 통해 간접적으로 교통 지원을 했으나, 올해부터는 다문화가족이 직접 신청할 수 있도록 절차를 간소화하고 편의성을 높였다. 기관 측은 이를 통해 다문화가족의 실질적인 교통복지 체감을 높이고 지역사회 정착을 지원할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.

‘다多 함께 대구로路’ 사업은 대구시와 (주)iM유페이, 대구사회복지공동모금회가 협약을 맺고, 교통카드 장기미사용 충전금(선수금)을 활용해 추진하는 공공복지 프로젝트다. 대구행복진흥원이 위탁 운영을 맡고 있으며, 교통 소외 계층을 대상으로 한 교통복지 서비스 확대에 집중하고 있다.

한편 대구행복진흥원은 대중교통 이용을 통한 탄소중립 실천 캠페인 ‘All 타’ 이벤트도 함께 운영 중이다. 5월부터 9월까지 월 2회 이상 대중교통을 이용한 만 14세 이상 대구시민이 참여할 수 있으며, 매달 440명을 추첨해 5만 원 상당의 교통카드를 제공한다.

배기철 이사장은 “교통약자인 다문화가족이 지역사회에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 실질적이고 지속적인 지원을 이어가고 있다”며 “대중교통 활성화와 더불어 시민 모두가 체감할 수 있는 행복도시 대구 실현을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Eligible applicants will be provided with a transportation card worth 50,000 won per person, and each household can apply for up to 4 cards (1 per person).
