【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=팬데믹 이후 사회적 단절과 정서적 황폐화가 심화된 가운데, 서로를 향한 따뜻한 연대와 회복의 메시지를 담은 전국 규모의 감성회복 캠페인이 펼쳐진다.

한국교육혁신포럼(중앙회장 김성근)과 대구행복진흥원(이사장 배기철)은 오는 10월 대국민 행사 ‘아름다운 감성회복 사랑의 편지쓰기 공모전’을 개최한다고  밝혔다. 이번 행사는 단순한 편지쓰기 대회를 넘어, 세대 간 소통과 감성 치유를 목표로 한 전국적 공감 프로젝트다.

오는 17일에는 문화·교육·예술·복지 분야 전문가 15인으로 구성된 ‘행사추진위원회’가 발족되어, 본격적인 준비에 들어갔다. 위원장은 이상규 전 국립국어원장(경북대 명예교수)이 맡았다.

공모전은 초등학생 이상 전 국민이 참여할 수 있으며, 가족·친구·선생님 등 소중한 사람에게 전하는 1,000자 미만의 편지를 전용 이메일(hopekorea21@naver.com)로 9월 30일까지 접수하면 된다. 총상금 1,000만원이 걸린 이번 공모전은 심사를 거쳐 10월 10일 수상작을 발표하며, 시상식은 10월 말 대구 아양아트센터 대공연장에서 개최될 예정이다.

수상작은 '100사람의 100가지 이야기' 책으로 엮여 전국 초·중·고·대학교 및 지자체 도서관 등에 무료 배포될 계획이다.

이와 함께 전국민을 대상으로 하는 ‘부모님 사진전’도 열린다. 참가자들이 제출한 가족사진을 통해 가족애를 공유하고, 공동체 회복의 메시지를 전하는 감성 전시로 진행된다.

이상규 위원장은 “제도보다 사람, 정책보다 마음이 더 필요한 시대”라며, “이번 행사를 통해 무너진 공동체의 울타리를 다시 세우고 서로를 품는 문화가 확산되기를 바란다”고 말했다.

김성근 중앙회장은 “이번 편지쓰기 공모전은 단발성에 그치지 않고 전국적인 감성 회복 국민운동으로 발전시킬 계획이며, 지자체·공공기관·교육계와의 협업도 추진 중”이라고 밝혔다.

배기철 이사장도 “사랑의 편지쓰기 운동이 모두의 마음을 따뜻하게 하고, 행복한 공동체 문화를 만들어 가는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.

 "Awakening Emotions with Love Letters"

Amidst the deepening social isolation and emotional devastation following the pandemic, a nationwide emotional recovery campaign is being launched, conveying warm messages of solidarity and recovery.

The Korea Education Innovation Forum (Chairman Kim Seong-geun) and the Daegu Happiness Promotion Agency (Chairman Bae Ki-cheol) announced that they will host the "Beautiful Emotional Recovery Love Letter Writing Contest" in October. This event is more than just a letter-writing contest; it is a nationwide empathy project aimed at intergenerational communication and emotional healing.

On July 17th, the "Event Steering Committee," comprised of 15 experts in culture, education, arts, and welfare, was launched and began full-scale preparations. Former President of the National Institute of the Korean Language and Professor Emeritus of Kyungpook National University, Lee Sang-gyu, served as the chairperson.

The contest is open to all Koreans, elementary school students and above. Submit a letter of less than 1,000 characters to a loved one, such as a family member, friend, or teacher, via the dedicated email address (hopekorea21@naver.com) by September 30th. The contest, which offers a total prize pool of 10 million won, will be reviewed and the winners announced on October 10th. The awards ceremony will be held at the Daegu Ayang Arts Center Grand Theater in late October.

The winning entries will be compiled into a book titled "100 Stories of 100 People" and distributed free of charge to elementary, middle, high schools, universities, and local libraries nationwide.

Furthermore, a nationwide "Parents' Photo Exhibition" will be held. The exhibition will showcase family photos submitted by participants, sharing the love of family and conveying a message of community restoration.

Chairman Lee Sang-gyu said, "We live in a time when people are more important than systems, and hearts are more important than policies." He added, "I hope this event will help rebuild the broken walls of our communities and foster a culture of embracing one another."

Kim Seong-geun, the president of the Central Committee, stated, "This letter-writing contest will not be a one-off event, but will develop into a nationwide movement to restore emotional connection. We are also pursuing collaborations with local governments, public institutions, and the educational community."

Chairman Bae Ki-cheol added, "I hope this letter-writing campaign will warm everyone's hearts and serve as an opportunity to create a happy community culture."
