【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=진보당 대구시당은 11일 오전 11시, 도시철도 3호선 연장 계획에서 혁신도시 구간이 제외된 것에 반대하며 대중교통 접근성 개선을 촉구하는 기자회견을 개최했다.

진보당 대구시당은 “2016년 당시 B/C(비용대비편익) 수치가 낮다는 이유로 연장 논의가 보류됐지만, 이후 예비타당성조사 기준은 지역균형발전 요소를 반영하는 방식으로 변경되었다”며, “그럼에도 여전히 경제성만을 기준으로 혁신도시를 배제한 결정은 납득할 수 없다”고 주장했다.

또한 “6월 26일 공청회 이후 단 3일간 의견 수렴 기간을 둔 것은 사실상 시민 의견을 들을 의지가 없다는 증거”라며, 졸속 행정·형식 행정을 강하게 비판했다.

최근 대구교통공사가 발표한 DRT(수요응답형 교통) 개선에 대해서도 진보당은 “정작 ‘수요’는 넘쳐나지만 ‘응답’은 없는 것이 현실”이라며, “등하교 시간마다 반복되는 대중교통 불편은 행정의 무관심으로 인한 주민 고통”이라고 지적했다.

진보당 대구시당은 “혁신도시는 더 이상 동구만의 문제가 아니다. 대구 전체의 미래를 좌우할 지역 균형발전의 상징으로서 기능할 수 있도록, 도시철도 3호선 연장선 내 혁신도시 포함을 반드시 재검토해야 한다”고 촉구했다.

또한 “동구청도 교통문제를 광역시 소관이라며 손 놓을 게 아니라, 선제적인 연구용역과 주민 의견 수렴을 통해 능동적으로 대처해야 한다”고 강조했다.

The Daegu branch of the Progressive Party urged, “Innovation City is no longer just a problem for Dong-gu. In order for it to function as a symbol of balanced regional development that will determine the future of the entire Daegu, we must reexamine the inclusion of Innovation City in the extension of Subway Line 3.”

They also emphasized, “Dong-gu Office should not neglect transportation issues by saying that they are the responsibility of the metropolitan city, but should proactively respond through preemptive research and collecting opinions from residents.”
