에코프로는 22일 포항캠퍼스 사내 카페에서 ‘텀블로그(텀블러+기록)’ 캠페인 킥오프 행사를 열었다고 밝혔다. 이번 캠페인은 일회용품 사용을 줄이고, 일상 속 친환경 습관을 확산시키자는 취지로 마련됐다.
이날부터 에코프로 임직원들은 사내 카페 이용 시 일회용 플라스틱컵 대신 개인 텀블러를 사용하면 1회당 스탬프 1개를 적립할 수 있으며, 스탬프 12개를 모으면 봉사활동 시간 2시간이 부여된다.
회사 측은 “텀블러 1개 생산 시 온실가스 배출량은 약 671g으로 플라스틱컵(52g)의 12배에 달한다”며, “따라서 최소 12회 이상 반복 사용해야 친환경 효과를 얻을 수 있다는 점을 고려해 봉사시간 기준을 마련했다”고 설명했다.
에코프로는 이번 캠페인을 통해 임직원들의 텀블러 사용 문화를 장려하고, 일상 속 친환경 행동이 조직문화로 자리잡을 수 있도록 지원할 방침이다.
