【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=경북도의회 농수산위원회는 25일 제359회 제2차 정례회에서 농업기술원 소관 2026년도 예산안 984억 원을 심사하고, 사업 중복 여부와 현장 실효성 강화 필요성을 집중 점검했다.

박창욱 부위원장(봉화)은 농축산유통국의 농업대전환 사업과 농업기술원 일부 사업이 중복된다고 지적하며 “연구기관의 본연 역할과 맞지 않는 사업은 조정이 필요하다”고 밝혔다. 그는 또한 일품벼가 현장 조건에 맞지 않는다는 농가 의견을 언급하며 신품종 개발과 기술 홍보 강화를 요구했다.

김재준 의원(울진)은 경북의 농기계 사고율이 전국 최고 수준임에도 관련 예산 반영이 부족하다며 “사고 예방과 안전관리 체계 강화를 위한 신규 사업이 미비하다”고 비판했다.

정근수 의원(구미)은 영농부산물 처리 사업에서 도비 미지원으로 시·군 부담이 과도하다며 제도 개선을 요청했다. 마을 단위 농가 부담 완화를 위한 공용 파쇄기 도입도 제안했다.

노성환 의원(고령)은 농업기술원 이전 사업 지연으로 연구 기능 저하와 예산 운용상 혼선이 우려된다고 밝혔다. 또 딸기 수직재배 및 육묘 수요가 증가했음에도 관련 예산이 감소한 점을 지적하며 현장 수요 기반의 대응을 촉구했다.

최병준 의원(경주)은 “사업 확대보다는 선택과 집중을 통해 연구기관의 목적과 성과를 명확히 해야 한다”며 국비 확보 전략 강화를 주문했다.

정영길 의원(성주)은 기후변화 대응 기술의 중요성을 강조하며 “농업기술원의 역할이 더욱 확대돼야 한다”고 말했다.

신효광 위원장(청송)은 사과 품종 다양화 사업의 체계적 추진과 냉해·고온 대응 시범사업의 기술적·경제적 타당성 검토를 요구했다.

한편 농수산위원회는 이날 ‘경상북도 농업과학기술정보서비스 제공 및 이용 활성화 조례안’을 의결했다. 조례는 농업기술 정보의 체계적 수집과 활용성을 높여 농업인의 정보 접근성을 강화하는 기반이 될 전망이다.
