도의회에 따르면, 경북도의회 윤종호 의원은 9일 도의회를 대표해 구미시 산동읍에 위치한 늘기쁨실버하우스를 찾아 도의회에서 마련한 위문품을 전달하고 시설 관계자들을 격려했다.
윤 의원은 이날 방문에서 “매년 명절마다 복지시설을 찾아 짧은 시간이지만 따뜻한 말 한마디라도 더 나누려 노력하고 있다”며 “경상북도의회 역시 소외된 이웃들이 복지 사각지대에 놓이지 않도록 더욱 세심히 살피겠다”고 말했다.
이어 “시설 입소자들을 가족처럼 돌보며 어려운 여건 속에서도 사명감으로 헌신하고 계신 종사자 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다”며 “앞으로도 어려운 이웃들에게 온정의 손길이 널리 전해지는 따뜻한 사회가 되기를 바란다”고 덧붙였다.
한편 경상북도의회는 명절과 연말연시를 중심으로 지역 내 사회복지시설과 자선기관을 찾아 위문 활동을 이어가며, 나눔과 배려의 의정 실천에 힘쓰고 있다.
